I heard Accenture pays more than McKinsey
61% utilization as a first year associate. RIP

I think it’s smart. Also if you’re worried about the hours, you can switch to an internal role, keep the same benefits and base salary, then eventually peace out

This. I did this.
Also you could just run less hard if your firm isn’t up/out or you’re not gunning for promo.
Agreed - was staffed on a very intense study my first trimester and part of my second trimester and it was rough. Managed to pivot into an internal study which was been wayyyy better but it took a bit of maneuvering and good luck to make it work.
Communicate to PD and your sponsors early, make explicit what your health needs (time for exercise, weekday spots) are before agreeing to studies, work with PD and others to figure out your ramp off/ ramp on plans etc.

Everything you said is true. What are you looking for feedback on?
I also did this to take advantage of the insurance. Are you already pregnant?
If you are pregnant then it’s a good idea to stay, find a internal role. The health benefits are superb here. If you are not then ask yourself if you will be happy being pregnant at the firm. I have had friends who had miserable times because their PD still staffed them on difficult studies.
I am not pregnant, wouldn't start trying for another year to year and a half. Feeling like I'm at the precipice of leave now or stay for another ~3 years (factoring in time before trying, pregnancy, mat leave, return)
I’d also consider how long it’ll take you to conceive...took us almost a year! Timing doesn’t always work out the way you think it will :)
