Wanted to share smth I found recently. I felt like it was pretty darn accurate. I’ll provide the link here but there’s a screenshot I took that I feel I can relate to quite heavily. https://pairedlife.com/love/infatuations
I’ve struggled with so many heavy infatuations before and a friend recommended this. Hope it helps anyone else out there who’s gone through this or may be going through this right now.

Your last comment prompts me to suggest the LOA option. It sounds like you do need some breathing space to sort out if your present line of work is right for you. Your challenge then will be to figure out your pivot once you return to a job you may want to leave. If you need some training for your next move that usually takes time and money. Don’t give up, you are worth the trouble to figure this out.
Are there any options for a paid LOA? Loa is something I am considering, but would most likely have to cash out my retirement for anything over 1 month
Thing is I don’t want anything short term. We have so much work to do that I would be embarrassed to come back after a short term leave and have the team pick up my work. I never want to be on this project again (or really this company in general).
Thing is I just started 3 months ago. This would be a bad look to already quit so soon…especially because I joined from a rival firm (in which I was only there for a little over a year)
I thought that by jumping from firm to firm that it would get better. It has not. I’ve been at 3 different firms in 3 years now. Think I just might not be cut out for consulting…
