I am an interdisciplinary studies major concentrating on organizational leadership and sociology. I have 17 years of management experience already and I'm not young. I will need an internship this summer, but I tend not to get calls on my applications. I'm nervous because I will need the internship to graduate, and it needs to fulfill expectations of both OGL AND SOC. Human resources, DEI, talent development or acquisition, ethics, all would be great (I think). Best places to look? Thank you!
Your doctor would have a number of alternatives. If they don’t go see a specialist who can help you find the right meds.
Americans are the only people in the world who tell docs what to prescribe them. Thanks drug advertising
I’ve tried Ritalin, strattera, natural alternatives. Addy is the only thing that I can count on
I hate the side effects too so I lower or skip dose whenever I don’t need it.
I was at the lowest dosage and was unable to sleep for days and didn’t eat at all in days. I looked like Matthew M while filming dallas buyers club 💀
I see a lot of these comments. I just started adderall and don’t really know if I’m noticing any side effects (other than no appetite, which is common). What are you all experiencing? Just curious!
I mean yeah, I work in health care and my dad is a provider. Those lists of side effects you see for any medication can range from 1% of the population to 99% of the population. Thus, I asked actual people what their side effects are that they experience. But yeah, thanks Deloitte!
Try Vyvanse
Been taking methylphenidate (Ritalin) for a couple of years now and it works for me. It is most effective when I am balanced with sleep, exercise, vitamin and nutrition. When one of these is off then I experience quite a difference. My dosage is fairly high between long and short release, but it is good enough to stay on as I didn't want to try Adderall. Side effects are manageable but I am fairly good with my eating schedule since I stay active. No real issue sleeping.
Your doctor will be aware of all the main alternatives, just talk to them.
Just to rattle off a few
Stimulants: Vyvanse, Ritalin, Concerta.
Non stim: Strattera
I tried strattera and the crash Was brutal :(
How high did you start on adderall? I started low and basically needed 40 mg. Side effects sucked at first but after a few days i got paat it
5mg and was brutal for me
Have you tried Concerta? I've been using that pill years ago when I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. The 54 mg. one. But I think 's better to ask your doctor for ay alternative.
Find a specialist that understands off-label medications for ADHD. I’ve heard rumors that these are effective for people experiencing issues with side-effects.
Apologies if someone had already asked this and I’ve missed this detail (I do have ADHD after all 😂)… were you still drinking coffee with the Adderall? If so, I would cut the coffee out and try it again. I don’t drink coffee at all with my stims - I do have decaf because I love the taste though
Not really. Taking Ritalin now and can’t sleep 😥
I switched to Vyvanse from taking Adderall, but it's still too early to tell any differences between the two. Some peers of mine have had positive reactions from it though.
