Eh, beats walkthroughs.

Want to hear something sad? I've actually heard my coworker say this

I've said it once. My busy season team made me regret saying it

@PWC 2 It was a slow summer. Pretty much sat there for a month baby sitting interns

I could go months without work and I'd love it

I kind of like busy season.

It's just hard to find that balance where you work just enough to make your day go by (i.e. not just doing admin), and working the equivalent of two jobs

Can't wait for busy season to freaken end. Holy hell...

Why would you say that ever though

Trouble networking virtually; I started recently, 3 months ago. I am not sure how projects/internal moves work but I was wondering if anyone has advice on networking virtually? I am finding it tricky because I don't know anyone apart from my team & I can't view Talent Marketplace because I am on a billable project, not sure how long it will go. I enjoy my work and not looking to move just yet, I wanted to see what else is out there and looking for opportunities to network with more people.

So I am going to try and jump ship from PWC before the sale, should I start dressing in suits now so days I interview look less werid or just call out sick each day I have an interview?

feeling sorry for the guy/girl who forgot their microsoft laptop/ tablet in an AA flight from DFW to ORD sitting in 16e. Turned it in just now. Hope you are in FB and you get it back.

Is it possible for you & your partner to both be career driven/focused and be able to raise kids? My husband & I have 1 child so far & we want to expand our family with 1 more but I’ve been told from multiple people that 1 person usually has to back down & it’s usually the mom. We both have demanding jobs but we’ve made it work so far with scheduling & tag teaming activities/tasks related to our kid, dogs & home.

Experienced hires who have recently joined Big 4, how rough has the transition been?

I like my job, but being on vacation is so much better. 😎

Are promotions guaranteed at Big 4 if you stay long enough and get average reviews?

Is anyone else in credit card debt?

Are broker fees a thing in San Fran? Paying ridiculous fees to rent makes me hate this city

Sooo... Living a fine life. Make good salary, have a nice apartment and stuff. Somehow, I mean, being by now a mid thirty female I feel like I have failed (at least regarding this point, don't know how to proceed? (I mean, I am a 34yr old, successful person, but even though I managed having good relationships until I turned 30, by now I just seriously feel old.) Colleagues have either met their match years ago or are incompetent of relationships

How is your work environment? People, culture, management, etc.

£50k TC, 2.6YoE working within the change arm of a bank ——- what do experienced fishes think is a good next move for someone like myself? Might want to move into consulting one day with ultimate aim of MBB but also enjoy technical coding work, particularly in credit risk / counterparty credit risk in banking — could use some fresh perspective ; quite confused atm as interested in many things! Don’t mind staying in change management either TIA - appreciate any advise

United at LGA can suck my fucking balls

what is LEK's return to office plan? any WFH work possible? or 5 days a week in the sweatshop

Is anyone else starting to get nervous about the supposed return to normal pay at Deloitte? I can't see it happening. I think there will be more excuses and more cuts. I'll have to leave. I can't afford or justify trying to raise a family on an APS4 wage with over 10 years in the professional workforce working 55 hour weeks.

Where’s the best consultancy to work at for digital people? Who has a great culture and supports there people? Convince me why I should work at your company.

Hope to learn more if you bought an apt in Manhattan, or if you decided against it (renting/moving to upstate/Long Island/Jersey). My husband and I are considering to have a baby soon and are thinking of buying and living in Manhattan for the next 10 years or so (looking at property under $2M). Please share what you considered as you were making the decision - I hate throwing away rent but also don’t want to trap ourselves in significant financial obligations. Thanks!
