I found the book “Emily and the Mighty Om” and it’s a great book to read before introducing yoga activities

I use the book Be Where Your Feet Are to help introduce mindfulness with my fourth graders. The title in itself becomes a great motto/reminder for them all year long!

Does anyone have tips for social anxiety at work? I’ve just moved to a new office in a new city - it feels cliquey and is giving me anxiety I haven’t felt since high school. I’ve been feeling so stressed that I’m just working from home, which can’t be helping me make friends / meet new people.

Does anyone have recommendations for classes or trainings that helped you gain greater expertise in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly sophisticated SaaS agreements? I came in-house with a biglaw litigation background and because of this feel lacking in competency compared to friends who came in house with transactional experience. Ditto to corporate governance. Would love some recommendations so that I can brush up in these areas and feel less like an imposter.

I recently took up a Customer Success Manger role at a engineering software company. Previously I was a Project Manager at the same company but wanted to move out of my engineering services role. I primarily took this role hoping to get exposure to providing SaaS services as company is transitioning at software cloud. My long term goal is to move into tech as my current customers are mostly in O&G. Is customer success a good entry point go get into one for the big tech companies?

You struggle to stay consistent w/ your business because you get distracted by any notification on your phone.

When you work, hide your phone.

You’d be surprised what a difference it makes.

So, I fucked up a bit. Was interviewing with the recruiter and they asked me my rate — I went low as I had a number for a senior role. The problem was I forgot in the beginning of the meeting it was mentioned this was an ACD role. Can I go back to them with a more appropriate number for the role should I get the offer?

I'm training for my first ultramarathon (50K). I'd like to train during the winter to build a base of strength and endurance, and budget six months to a trail race I'll find early next spring. Does anyone have experiences with trail ultra running, and have any books, podcasts, training plans, gear, races, or general advice to share?

Has anyone else gone back to relying more on public transportation with the surging Uber / Lyft prices. Trips to and from ohare are costing me about as much as the plane tickets themselves, and even simple things like meeting a friend for dinner in another neighborhood ends up costing around $80 in transportation costs. I haven’t taken buses and trains much since I’ve graduated but now it just feels like I’m throwing money out the window by not making the switch back.
