How does your team deal with culture clash with your client. As consultants we work in hectic environments and always have a lot of work to do. Trying to explain billable hrs to hubs. I billed 160 this month, which he said “is only 40 hr weeks” (true) - but how many hrs do you figure you “work” or are in the office to bill 150?

Yesterday was a good day. I was really impressed with myself. I woke up at 5, practiced dance lessons, did two water colors, made breakfast and tea, got to work by 10, put in 8-10 hours of solid work and then came home. It’s been ages since I painted or danced. However today, I slept till 7:00, did not work out or have food. Still got to work by 10 and did 8 solid hours of work. Some days are good and some are just okay. And that is okay. Trying to build on my good days and we all can. :)

I’m not sure if I’m qualified to be a senior CW, but there’s an agency with both senior and mid-level openings that I’d love to work at. If I apply for the senior CW position and they think I’m not quite qualified to be a senior, is there a chance they’d still consider me for the mid-level position? Basically, I’m not sure if I should take the chance and apply for the senior position or play it safe and apply for the mid-level.

Found out I was pregnant while interviewing. Told the potential job immediately and they didn’t care and wanted me to move forward. They offered me the job and I am worried about maternity leave since FMLA requires 12 months minimum at your job before it applies? Does anyone have any experience in this? Would I be taking short term disability? First time soon to be mom here!

Met this guy 4 weeks ago. He lives 4 hours away and has already been down to see me twice and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights each time. Pays for every date even though I offer to pay. He is awesome and I really like him! However, he was traveling for work last week so our communication went from checking in everyday to one 15 min call middle of the week. He joined this job during COVID so first time meeting his team.. he said they were out past 1am every night. Ummm? (Contd)

Anyone ever experience being on a project where your supervisor or lead just tells you they don’t like your work and to just fix it without providing any reasoning or how to fix it? How did you go about it? I’m so miserable and I always feel like I’m not doing good enough but I literally have no clue how to improve and I have no guidance. I have ADHD and anxiety already and this is just heightening it all and I’m paranoid I’ll get fired at any moment…
