Sorry about that. See you back in the office in Sept.

I recently spent some time meandering through Montana & Washington state — remote working by day and exploring by night. It was wonderful in all the ways you’d expect, but the cultural differences were really pronounced. I’ve been all over the country and spent time with all times of people, but I’ve never felt as “fish out of water” before. It’s not that people were overtly mean or rude or political, there’s just a hovering sense of polarity. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration when people say we live in 2 different Americas.

Where in pa? Sounds like a good road trip

So what's wrong with rural Pennsylvania?

Nothing if that's what you're used to. Everything if you're from a big city and want to play small town.

My fiancé grew up in OC and loves the quiet, quaintness of smallish towns on the east coast. I grew up in a small town and I have no desire to go back. It’s peace and quiet, more neighborly and less keeping up with the joneses, but that’s kind of it. Only goes so far for me. Good for some, but makes me feel caged up.

Went to school in central, PA. Hellscape.

I’ve spent the last 20 years in NYC and LA, moved to rural PA during the pandemic and I’m more than happy to have a bald eagle crap on my driveway than a person. To each their own I suppose...

I need some advice. I got a new job back in may of this year. Very excited for a new opportunity to learn some new things and get a higher paycheck. I started and have gotten a few projects but they haven’t consistently been giving me hardly any work to do. I’m not resourced enough. I told my manager I have a lot of free time. I also work fully remote. I am feeling very unfulfilled and not sure what I should do next. I am very self motivated and want to make great work but not sure what to do.

I switched two years ago from regional real estate/energy to a local small, but established residential real estate practice. While I’ve gained so much practical experience and run my own book here, I want to shift to a non-traditional remote role in real estate but keep getting turned down. I have strong credentials but I’m worried this small firm experience is killing my marketability to large companies.

Livid & need to vent. Had a call with a client, I am the attorney that manages their cases. A male attorney was on the call with me as well. I try to explain something to client multiple times and he keeps cutting me off to explain his question again (even though I am answering the question but for the interruptions). Male attorney jumps in and explains exactly same of what I am saying, male client listens intently, no interruptions, then essentially ignores me the rest of the call. Raaaaage 🤬
