McKinsey interview questions are getting dark

LMAO

Isn’t there a movie on Netflix about exactly this, vis-à-vis the deaths from 9/11?

Worth

Courts do these calculations in all cases that involve that, and so does car companies when evaluating if a recall is worth or not.

We live in a dark world (not even counting the bias in the economic model)

And yeah it did happen before

Better call Kenneth Feinberg

That was my first thought, though I've met him and he said nothing will take years off your life like being responsible for determining the value of someone else's.

Unless they intended this as a trick question I'd fail for two reasons:
1. Why on earth would the US government be liable to compensate people for dying of a disease
2. What are dead people going to do with compensation? Do you mean their families?

like

My thoughts exactly, that lawsuits will be against the particular companies that failed to protect their employees. There were PPP loans made available by the govt. to help make work places safer, thus, lowering their liability. In the past, I have heard of a flat compensation scheme, for example each victim’s family woll get an X amount.

There are already established formulas for establishing compensation for death. Case closed 💁🏽‍♀️

The title of OP suggests they might be Deloitte fwiw.

lol. Never mind - I clearly failed to communicate the tongue-in-cheek nature of that comment

There are models to calculate the $ value of someone's life. And everyone doesn't get the same amount.

For those passed away after vaccines were made available, I would charge their estates a tax for being careless mo fos.

A ceo has less loved ones than a janitor so it should be proportional to that

This should never happen

Looks like you found a Netflix movie on this topic and now are trying to make a conversation out of it. Interesting

2) Has PwC been giving sign on bonuses? I'm looking at cyber. Is there a repayment clause for leaving within X months? Any advice for getting a sign on bonus?
