Catch-22 of No Experience- Recent graduate with an AAS and BS in Cybersecurity/Information Assurance (also have Security+, Network+, A+, CIOS, CSIS, CEH, and SSCP). Every entry-level job is asking for 3-5 years of experience. I can’t seem to even get a response for Helpdesk roles. Resume was recently looked over by professional writer to ensure I am not being kicked by ATS. How do I get a serious job offer in my field, preferably in the $80K+ range that is not sales?

I'd think that the federal consulting firms like Booz Allen, Guidehouse, AFS, etc. would all want to interview, especially if you're clearable.

I would reach out to team members on Linkedin and ask for an informational interview. Its a great way to get your foot in the door.

Is it a good idea to tell your manager intentions of leaving?

Recently had my review and it didn’t go how I expected. No raise, no promotion. I expressed disappointment but took the criticism I was given to reach my goal in 6 months or a year.

However, there are a number of issues that bother me enough where I want to move on.

The team I am on is small and I know that when I leave, they’ll have a lot on their hands. I only have a couple of interviews scheduled and nothing is solid yet.

I recently interviewed for a really well known, mature tech company that’s revered for its great culture. I was at the last round, after over a month of communication, interviews and challenges. I couldn’t even count hours I’d already put in. Then they ghosted me. It ruined my interest in the role anyway, but I’m still extremely disappointed with how they treated me. Is there a way to give them that feedback? And is it even worth it anyway?
