I have 6+ years of work experience working as an Ops Manager in a 3pl company doing last mile deliveries. Highest level of education is MS Supply chain management from UMD. I have been thinking about making a career switch and go into consulting. What are my chances of getting calls from MBB? Or big 4? Or are there any other firms who focus mainly on Supply chain and logistics consulting? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company Deloitte EY PwC Kearney

I have an offer from MBB at my MBA program but I’d lose my sponsorship with LEK if accepted (they won’t match it). Interviewed for exposure. How easy would it be to lateral to MBB after I put in 2 post-years with LEK? Are the cases a little more relaxed then? The FOMO😖
How would you rank the non-MBB strategy shops? Including strategy “divisions” within larger firms
@mbb folks, I’m matriculating to a target school this fall and doing the early access programs. Should I be reaching out to the current employees that host the sessions or is that overkill? I figure that these sessions have a ton of people, though I don’t want to waste potential networking opportunities

For folks who get a company phone, do you keep two separate phones - one for perosnal and one for professional use? At my current company, I just file an expense for my monthly cell phone bill, so I keep my own phone and use it for both work and personal use. About to start at MBB soon and wondering if people just use the company phone for both use? Is it ok/accepted if your checked personal emails, social media, other apps etc.. on the company phone?

Very specific question - Canadian and European spouse travelling to Canada from Europe. However, spouse’s ETA not approved. Hey 🐠, I’m trying to understand if I need to be looking for lateral exit opportunities from a compensation perspective. I’m a Manager in the M&A IT practice, 12 YOE (7 in Tech and 5 in Consulting). I am happy with the work I do and the people I work with are tolerable. New base salary is $178K starting this month. Asking because I’ve heard that people should keep jumping from one company to another in Consulting to have a competitive comp. Basically guys, is my compensation competitive?
Ended a 75 hr week with my birthday today. Wife just told me we're officially expecting our first. Yay!
Was invited to apply for a lateral in another group at my company - transactional (I’m in lit now). I have a lot of experience in what I do now and am getting good development opportunities within my group. However, I’ve been passed over for a deserved promotion 3 times and am doing work two salary bands above where I am now. I enjoy the transactional work even though I have less experience in it, and it would be a great resume builder. I am not great with risk taking/change. Wwyd?
If you leave your job and take a month (or more) off before starting the next, what do you all do about health insurance?
