Would it be practical to look for an apartment 10-15 kms away if the office location is Marathahalli?

A friend just resigned and moved back to India. He has/had an approval i140. Given that his H1B is now “over”. Can he apply for a B1/B2 to visit the US?

During a weekly status call, a US based manager in my organization stated “the recruiters need to find fewer candidates with English as a second language” in reference to the fact that we just hired a person of Indian heritage. We are a global company and about 1/3rd of our employees are from outside of the US/UK. I reported the manager to HR along with several other times that he has acted in a racist manner.


*throws up a Shaka in a group picture* proceeds to get reprimanded for using “gang signs”

me: I'd love to learn more about the differences between Director/Group director/VP....based on that recent situation with "Candace", I'm thinking that she was focused on something I don't have insight on, so if I can understand where she's coming from I can prevent another mixup 😇

VP: *big sigh*...it...it wasn't you. Candace was wrong. I guess something happens when people get promoted to director, their egos explode and they don't admit when they're wrong 🤷‍♀️

During a meeting on Micro-Aggressions, in which most example comments were about appearance, the teams concluded that using Video cameras in meetings was more inclusive and helped with community.

Is it just me or does that invite more opportunity for appearance-based micro-aggressions?
“Oh, you actually dressed up today!” -“oh you’re wearing makeup”

They missed the point


My last firm there was this manager who was 45 and divorced who didn't not give 2 shts about his job

He would come in at 10, leave at 11, not return until 4p, and then leave at 5pm

When he would come back at 4pm, his hair would either be wet and he'd proudly say he went swimming or his hair would be shorter and he'd equally as proudly say he got a haircut

I have too many stories about this guy until one day he just up and quit with no notice bc he hated his job
