Sounds like a valentines day party. LITTTT
At least you have a Christmas party.
I'd rather just get a day off
Totally, it’s a cost thing. After Christmas sales are dope.
I worked in a place where they always had it in January to save $$$.
But this seems worse...one night ‘off’ won’t kill you.
CD1- Craving the glory days of misogynistic tools? Gross, pass. I prefer to party with the progressives where everyone has a good time and not just the egomaniacs.
Advertising today is too progressive for Christmas parties. Too many liability risks between the drinking and the possible harassment suits from whiny millennials.
No matter how hard you try it will never be like it was a long time ago. (Off the charts WILD.)
Christmas party? So last century. Feb is fab!
@CD1 “possible harassment suits from whiney millennials?” Have you ever had your boob or butt grabbed by a creepy dude?
Ours is usually sometime in Feb or March
It's cheaper and also added benefit can be better attendance because many employees complain that company holiday parties in Dec just add to their stressful and already booked schedule. Not that your agency sounds like that was the reason they care about lol. "To focus on work" is so cheer devoid - they could've easily said something else that's more uplifting instead
The breakfast stops for no economic demands.
@LB1 the breakfast is a shadow of itself nowadays. I don’t work there anymore and I don’t feel like I’m really missing much

... it’s possible we work at the same place. If said agency is a big’n.
So many G R I N C H E S in here
totally a cost thing - significantly cheaper to throw one in the winter. it is what it is. anything else is window dressing.
We do feb and honestly it’s nice to have something to look forward to after Christmas
One of my vendors hosts their annual parties on January at a beautiful venue. I’d much rather wait for something nice than get a mediocre experience in December
I’m with many of the above. I’d much rather a better party in Jan/Feb and not have so much stress in weeks leading up to xmas
