Is anyone in media over 30? What happens after 30? Where does everyone go? Client side?
Does anyone follow the Pareto 80/20 principle? All of these project systems sound great in theory but none of them stick for me.
Anyone else (sadly) working on layoffs? For OWBPA notices, we list out titles and ages for everyone being terminated. But what if a few of those terminated as EEs, are being offered (cont.)
My wife has just relocated in Zurich from London and I’m trying to follow her whilst making the magic move to the client side. Anyone willing to help? 5 YOE in several consulting ops/commercial engagements worldwide and really keen to get my feet into a commercial support function whilst developing my tech skills.Google
How long can you ride out the bench at Deloitte before they fire you? Similarly, can you still cash out PTO when fired?
Glimpse of the future: partner told me to be in the office tomorrow to host a client meeting. Not a request, she did not ask me if I could, but an instruction. I feel this is where WFH will go to die, unless you want to challenge The Man.
Hello! I need to improve my excel skills. I know how to do some basic stuff but I need to do more. A client was teaching me how to use vlookup and I felt so useless! I decided to do something about it. I typed excel in udemy and there were so many results, I immediately became overwhelmed. Which one is the best? And shortest? Thank you!
I have been building saas products for FAANG for last 8 years. I still think that building website for small businesses will bring more money than what I make from my full time high paying job.
I am looking for sales people who can just go door to door and get client.
Think of this way, if we get 1000 customer and making 100$ each customer, we will make 100k per month and as per my experience 20k at max can go to infra cost. We would be able to make 80k profit.
Joining SFDC as Sr. Program Architect in Dallas. TX. Any insights on the onboarding & orientation is greatly appreciated. Given it’s a client facing role, possibility of a local client assignment?
How bad are D layoffs in Canada? US firm seems nuts but not so much here from where I'm standing..
Anyone feel like technical folks in Deloitte Advisory are seriously underpaid? It's crazy to think that there are new hire BTAs making more than EH Cs on my project who have their Master's + dev skill
Company asking me travel to a client for a sales meeting. Don’t want to go but it’s my first chance to do sales stuff as a senior associate. Traveling seems reckless given the rising cases. I could get out of it, but don’t want to miss this opportunity. Got any advice for this situation?
Someone from another department tried to brief my teams in on their project with zero context, info, or details for them to put together a creative response. I told them to supply that information first and that they could brief the team once they do and that I'd be happy to help.
They then spat the dummy and went straight to my boss saying I was not cooperating and making their job difficult. I've now got a meeting with my boss about this EOW.
How do I approach this / what do I say?
Need help from mentors fishies please. Trying to choose between:
1. Current role: good relationships, strong performer, high pay, on track for promotion in a year, boring industry and project work; and
2. Offer: unknown culture and wlb, tech role, new position, quite unrelated to what I do, but potentially opens up further tech opportunities, 8% TC cut (but 4% raise if I consider signon bonus)
Anyone have any experience applying for a job at a client through a standard job listing on their website? Assume no conflicts of interest. Asking for a friend.
Just sold a project because the client has a crush on the manager and me. So this is how consulting actually works...
About to get staffed on a client across the country (LA or SF), I'm from NJ, how do I stay sane? Can the people who have done this travel chime in?
Any good resources or plans for parents in consulting during COVID with back to school coming up?
Proofreading. It matters.
Hi all, been interviewing at Google for an L5 PgM S&O role.
Cleared 5 interviews and recruiter informs me I'm going to HC.
Two questions here:
1. What happens now? Should I expect an offer?
2. If the role is based in SF, am I able to negotiate for NY?
3. I'm 5 YOE and interviewed for an L5 role. What's the likelihood I am downlevelled?
