I think you have leverage. I don’t know what industry or position you’re moving to, but focus on skills you learned that are transferable. For example, how many team members have you managed/seniored (including off shore)? What soft skills have you developed (think about events involving professional networks)? Whether in audit or tax, I’m sure you have developed problem solving skills, so think of a story that demonstrates your ability to think critically and resolve issues.
This is just a start, but the point is you can sell your PA experience anywhere, especially coming from a big 4. It’s all about how you package it.
