Anyone know how to get a position as an HRBP without HRPB experience? All positions I've looked at want previous experience. Would over 5 years of HR experience and a PHR suffice, or what skills should be added to that?

I thought I found the perfect position in March but I was let go today. I was blindsided. Never a complaint, my reviews were excellent and I got along well with the owners. My only issue was the PEO not speaking with me and going directly to the owners with her agenda. I asked ownership to work with me and I would pull the PEO in, if necessary. Apparently, they have a longstanding friendship and he does not think of them as a vendor as a friend. She suggested a on-site PEO rep and out I go!

Talk to me about schedules, please. I recently moved back into an IC role and am once again responsible for developing project plans. I absolutely loathe building schedules but I can’t seem to pin point why. Maybe because building a good one with dependencies takes forever or because no one looks at them or because they seem outdated. Why can’t prioritization do the work for us? How do you all approach schedules? Thoughts? Ideas?

International vs. PCS internal and Exit Opportunities. — I’m a S2 in ATL working in PCS and in international/crossborder for private clients. I need some guidance determining whether I would be better off staying in PCS or declaring a specialty in int’l/crossborder work. I don’t see myself in B4 forever, and it seems the int’l work would limit exit opps in the future. However, PCS exit opps aren’t appealing to me either: family office or wealth management. — any help or insight is appreciated.

I like advising, but it’s a grind to find people to make new clients to sell to in order to survive. Are there any exit strategies for a successful young 26 y/o advisor to move to investment banking or a salaried advisor job?

Does level and/or office matter for referrals at McKinsey & Company? A friend is willing to refer at the Associate level in my target office though I did not get any traction w/ the referral last year. I'm a Veteran so I also recognize there may be a resume translation issue despite the prior version getting me interviews with BCG and Bain. Has anyone else’s husband just never really given them complements? My husband refuses to because he says it would make it meaningless when he says them (so he doesn’t say I look nice in case on the ~5 times he says it a year it would be ‘watered down’). How do I respond to an observation score of a II in an area where I feel the score was unwarranted? I scored III in all other areas. The score was a II because I had students working on Google Classroom & was finishing up emails before I transitioned into the classroom reading. It’s the week before midterms, and I have duty for 20 minutes of my 50-minute planning period in 1st. I have to respond to these emails in a timely manner & all students were working diligently on the first assignment.

I just finished my 1st year in my role. I converted in this position after an internship. I’m not happy with my pay. I make 57k now but I’m a top performer. I work hard and I have great communication skills and am already training new hires. Is it worth looking elsewhere for a job if I only have 1yr experience? I have a project management cert but not a role in PM.

How do you guys think of multi stage interview process? Personally i feel interviews up to two stages is ok, further than that is a waste of time.

I read a few stories like people not successful in getting the role after 5 to 7 stage of interviews, this is inclusive of coding / design challenges, flying over to another state for onsite interview etc.

So what do we think about working at FAANG companies? I personally have stayed away from interviewing with them, as I have heard horror stories about work life balance.

I put my profile up on Hired on Tuesday with what I feel like is a high minimum base ( 200k ) and I’m getting 5 or more interview requests a day. Am I shooting too low? I’m not really looking to leave my current job, but I wanted to see what’s out there and gauge my worth. ( current base 180 TC ~300 )

I'm PAST burnout at this point. I'm not sure what to call what I am right now.
