Reading from a lot of these fb posts, I see that a lot of the folks are just not happy with their jobs and just want to squeeze every benefit out of it. But in my past experience, I was lucky enough with my employers, including my current one, that they actually care and treated me better than I expected. But I also do give my best at my jobs so I believe it’s reciprocal. One of my past employer even went above and beyond that the guy took out a mortgage on his home, file bankruptcy so that he could give us the last few paychecks before he close his business

treat them well anymore?

Just for offered a design role and a large global retailer full time at $26 an hour. Wondering if this is in line with what designers are making? Been self employed for 10 years as a designer doing projects here and there so this new to me. Thanks!

🐠s: do firms sometimes present sign on/ joining bonus as “guaranteed bonus” with “meeting expectations” type performance conditions attached? Does it also imply that it will be payable after 12 months I.e. after the performance has been evaluated. Sounds to me like the whole purpose of it being a “sign on bonus” is being defeated but pls share thoughts.

If you could do anything else besides advertising, what would you do? #AFAF

Speaking with a recruiter next week about an associate role with a VC firm (~500m AUM). What should I expect for comp for this role? I’m 3.5 yoe.

What's the most used UPI app on the your phone?

When do we find out how much we get for Performance Based Bonus? And do we receive them in October or earlier?

I dont think my manager understands the amount of work she gives me. I am charging 55-60 hours each week (excluding travel) and the rest of the team is at 40. What do i do? Im exhausted!

This client won't approve the last 2 deliverables I need to roll off because they don't want me to leave! Ugh!

I have been working from home the past 3 years, this year 2022 I don’t have much work, say 3-4 hours daily, I can feel the boredom now, we haven’t had any sales so can’t help it - spending time doing some online courses. My works become monotonous as well.

I have started looking for jobs outside, what worries me is if I get into a Job where I have to suddenly shift to regular or long hours - what’s it going to be like..

Any of you have that experience - please share..
