🐠s: do firms sometimes present sign on/ joining bonus as “guaranteed bonus” with “meeting expectations” type performance conditions attached? Does it also imply that it will be payable after 12 months I.e. after the performance has been evaluated. Sounds to me like the whole purpose of it being a “sign on bonus” is being defeated but pls share thoughts.
