Take the Sup title, you’ll learn a ton about production and it’ll be a bit more stable. Everything with google is project-based jump ball.
Quality of life is better in Chicago
Chicago + Best Buy + supe is clearly the better combo. But you already knew that.
What’s stopping you? Is being able to tell you parents or friends you work on Google too tempting?
Is everything else equal? How’s the rest of your account team on both? How’s agency culture compare?
Plus working on Google is a nightmare the size of the Internet.
Well first of all congrats! Two good offers, two good cities. I get your dilemma and it seems like there isn’t really a bad choice. I’d probably try to figure out which place (city and agency) I want to be at most - gut decision? And perhaps stability of agency overall outside of core account. Google can be unpredictable, but pending agency that may not matter. Wishing you luck!
They are for 2 different agencies. Google agency is in New York and Best Buy agency is in Chicago.
I loved working on Google - despite (in spite of?) some of the craziness. Never worked on BB so can’t compare. Are they two different agencies? Anything else to compare?
@Strategist1 hopefully they are. Maybe one will offer OP more
What is the NY agency? Anomaly?
Are you going in-house on Best Buy?
Best Buy was my favorite account I've ever worked on. You'll learn a ton.
Starcom Chicago office has some great leadership, especially on the BB account. It's a pretty well oiled machine and I still miss the team. You'll get first hand experience on programmatic, some hefty data, and a million other things. Going into holiday season will feel like craziness, but once you get in the swing of things it's seriously an amazing learning experience. Also, chicago is exponentially cheaper than NY. Clearly I'm biased 🤷♀️
Hope either agency isn’t reading this on FB!
