Reminiscing… I used to love the holidays because it was such a festive, flirty season living in NYC with all out office parties and then vacation time when I’d fly to Europe or wherever. Bu now it’s become so stressful as a working mom making sure all the presents are bought (kids, “Santa”, teachers), that Elf does something cute every night, researching fun holiday events for the kids, kids getting sick every other day, work deadlines all in the middle of it…I need some holiday magic for me 😭

I'm asking for the new Pokémon game (cuz I'm actually two 8 year olds standing on each other's shoulders in a Patagonia vest) and a battery-powered air pump.
Got my wife a Dyson Airwrap and flowers.
I got my mom one of those automatic plant growers and she LOVES it. Highly recommend for your parents.

Thank you for the Dyson Airwrap idea! I had no idea what to get my girlfriend, and this seems like a solid choice

LaTimes has a bunch of not-paywalled guides that are great.
Also the Strategist Gift Guide is great.
Paying to take my parents with me on a short holiday trip to somewhere cold and bought them nice warm and water resistant coats to wear while there. Getting my SO a myriad of items, including a set of whiskey glasses and decanter, a wooden valet tray for all his odds and ends, and a leather messenger bag. My sisters are getting jewelry. Everyone who gets a gift from me this year is also getting fuzzy non-slip slipper socks and a small tube of hand cream, because winter is cold and harsh on the skin.
I asked for a Kindle from my SO, and one sister got me a set of hard-to-find cookbooks from the country she recently visited.
SO: dress shoes & some smaller things related to their hobby
Mom: golf balls & rangefinder
Dad: Kindle
