I didn’t make shit my first two years in the business for the exact same reason.

Yeah, in varying degrees, it’s always been this way. But hang in there; you’re gonna get that one client who understands, appreciates and *buys* the work. And that experience is what you’ll keep chasing.

Just got notified by the client that a bunch of people are going to be on vacation over the next few weeks. Completely understandable, but from a billing perspective that kind of sucks. In a pre-covid world you were at the client site and could always bill your time no matter who took vacation, but in this WFH environment there is no more billable “downtime.” Thoughts?
