With my former roommate (female) we did 73/74 and it was great… live with my boyfriend now and he wants it at 70 all the time. I’m good with that at night but I’m freezing all day… wearing sweatshirt, pants, socks, and a robe but I can’t conduct client interviews like this… at 72 he says he is still hot when I am freezing. What type of salary should I expect in Atlanta with CPA, 7 years PA experience (2 years for big4 public client, previous 5 in variety of industries/firm sizes), and manager effective 7/1? Some recruiters are saying $130k others say that’s too high and closer to $110, but that seems so low considering I know senior accountants making that. Does accounting ever pay off?

I work for a technology consulting firm, have a little over 5 years experience in the financial services industry, largely performing Business Analyst roles. I want to work remotely for the rest of my life, ideally never stepping into a client’s office again.
Anyone have advice on how to achieve this? Should I be switching to another industry (financial services seems to have a barrier to entry, which means less competition, and is why I’ve remained there)? Is contracting a better option?

CARES act Q - Funds withdrawn in 2020 from 401k but repayment done via Roth IRA (after-tax). Is that even feasible? IRS guideline just says repayment can be made to any “eligible retirement account”. Since the repayment will be made using after tax money, Roth IRA would fit the criteria although I’m not sure if Roth IRA is considered an eligible account here for repayment? Also what happens when the repayment amount is greater than the annual Roth contribution limits? How does IRS treat that?

Are financial planners worth it? I am interested in getting a financial planner because I feel as if I am trying to accomplish too many goals (save money, pay down debt, invest) and am doing it in an efficient/smart way. I was thinking about going with Facet Wealth Management to help me come up with a focused plan but am worried I may just be adding another unnecessary expense. Any advice is welcomed!
