Uh why are you working at all this week

Nope. If everyone is OOO, why should you be the lone wolf?

Does anyone else feel like they are always in crisis control? My client talks trash on our agency and all I feel like I’m doing is trying to show I am different than their past account managers.

Ladies - what temperature do you keep your apartment/home at and if you disagree with your cohabitants how do you handle? With my former roommate (female) we did 73/74 and it was great… live with my boyfriend now and he wants it at 70 all the time. I’m good with that at night but I’m freezing all day… wearing sweatshirt, pants, socks, and a robe but I can’t conduct client interviews like this… at 72 he says he is still hot when I am freezing. Help!! We’re not far off in weight either (150/165)

What type of salary should I expect in Atlanta with CPA, 7 years PA experience (2 years for big4 public client, previous 5 in variety of industries/firm sizes), and manager effective 7/1? Some recruiters are saying $130k others say that’s too high and closer to $110, but that seems so low considering I know senior accountants making that. Does accounting ever pay off?

SVP level strategist with 12 yoe and a few awards from both agency and brand side work. NYC, white female. What should my rate be for a freelance project with an agency? Probably about 5-7 days of work. Also, should I do project or day rate? Haven’t done this before!

Thanks in advance.

I got promised a raise on paper but I suspect we might lose a key client before it comes true. Am I screwed?

I work for a technology consulting firm, have a little over 5 years experience in the financial services industry, largely performing Business Analyst roles. I want to work remotely for the rest of my life, ideally never stepping into a client’s office again.
Anyone have advice on how to achieve this? Should I be switching to another industry (financial services seems to have a barrier to entry, which means less competition, and is why I’ve remained there)? Is contracting a better option?

Square Veeva @teletracking

Trying to decide between 3 offers remote/Columbus

Square is 84k salary 5k bonus and 80k stocks vesting over 4 years
Veeva is 100k salary 20k bonus and 25k Stocks each year forever
Teletracking is 125k cash 5k bonus

I know about Square the most and if they paid closer to Veeva and Teletracking I’d probably go there but it seems like they underpay.
The Veeva culture seems really good but it’s a sustaining engineer position for year 1 so debugging

My partner and I adopted a dog during the pandemic and I’ve been struggling for a few months with it. Our dog is really needy and has high levels of anxiety. We haven’t been able to leave her side or she’ll freak out. We’ve been barely treading water and the stress put me into a manic episode (I have bipolar). It’s been making my days barely manageable and I’m tired of crying over small things because my emotions are much more intense than usual. I hate myself and I want to disappear.

CARES act Q - Funds withdrawn in 2020 from 401k but repayment done via Roth IRA (after-tax). Is that even feasible? IRS guideline just says repayment can be made to any “eligible retirement account”. Since the repayment will be made using after tax money, Roth IRA would fit the criteria although I’m not sure if Roth IRA is considered an eligible account here for repayment? Also what happens when the repayment amount is greater than the annual Roth contribution limits? How does IRS treat that?
