Hi Fishes, Right now I'm bursting my brains to make a decision which company to join and request your help. I have an offer from tcs for 13.5LPA and nagarro for 18LPA both for the role of associate project manager. I have been a lead at infosys with 8yoe. Keeping in mind that this is the first time i will be a manager please suggest which company is best to learn and secure as the global recession has already begun. TIA #nagarro #tcs Tata Consultancy Infosys Nagarro
I have a weird experience with KPMG India . Two weeks ago I had salary negotiation with the HR manager. He told me that the offer will be released in a couple of days but I haven't received the offer letter yet.I tried reaching out to the HR manager but didn't receive any response. Shall I take it as no?

Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.

Take the deal. Accenture will likely fold. If they are smart they will see it as a way to stay in good with the company if you keep them on. Also work there for as long as you like it then go back to consulting there is no loyalty in the field anymore just experience
KPMG has a very strong alumni and boomerang network that is to say people who left and came back. When people come back they are almost always promoted to director if it's been a good couple years in industry. You won't get Accenture to raise you 50k. Take it
Kid, are you dumb? Take the money. That's another median household's income worth of cash.
50k more? Damn boy.
50k????? LEAVE
What's the company? Enron ? Take it
OP looks like you are drinking the kool-aid we give our clients. Take the job and the money. Best case - you love the new job/firm and being at home. Worst case - you hate it and in a year or two get back to consulting. Just don't burn your bridges when you leave.
More details = better replies
I left for industry and came back because I didn't feel challenged enough, I was bored from not traveling and didn't travel personally anymore! I missed moving around in clients. Granted I was doing internal consulting it wasn't as fun
Honestly I'm not looking to play games. But my family could really use the extra money and have me home.
I have a friend who did something similar at the manager level as well. Boomeranged back to Accenture 2 years later at the SM level with a salary bump.
Pretty easy at the firm you were previously at. I know a lot of people who left Accenture and came back after 3-4 years.
I missed the road. I missed being about to fly and hotel for free on vacation
We don't want you on this app so just go hah
Be careful. ACN contracts are generally pretty explicit that the client can't recruit you, you have to proactively seek employment with them. I've heard stories of ACN going hard after clients for this.
Money isn't everything, right...? There is a certain level of security that comes from staying in consulting. I think I will get bored easily. Don't want to give away too much detail and give myself away
I'd only do it if you were planning on leaving consulting otherwise there is always more to learn and another job when you're ready
I know a ton of people who have boomeranged back to accenture after leaving for industry. Make the jump. If you don't like it, you can always come back for even more pay.
Thanks for all of your input folks. As much as I hate saying no to that kind of money - I'm just not ready to leave the exciting world of consulting yet. There is still too much to learn. Appreciate it!
If you have a family at home it's definitely worth trying the new job
