Been on a grueling and stressful project and planning on treating myself to a spa day. Any recommendations for spas in Chicago?

Q for the people that like WFH and never want to go back - what is your living situation? I hate WFH and can’t wait to be back in the office, so curious if other people have adapted better or if their environments are just more conducive to being successful (house with home office and family vs being alone in a 1BR apartment).

Are there many options to do a legit but part time job? Has anyone made this successful, either in consulting or in industry?

Just joined and got on a project with unrealistic deadline. The other two experienced dev and I have already talked internally and to the project manager. M does not seem to appreciate the complexity or how unrealistic it is.

We are gonna try to do it once more with the M and narrow the scope but I am concerned that M won't listen.

I think the other 2 dev is realizing the situation and active trying to leverage their network to get out. This is my 1sr project....

Any suggestions?

Would you consider a FIFO job for 20% more pay? Currently at $100k TC @40h/week, and received an offer at a northern Ontario mine site for $120k on a 14/14 fly-in-fly out agreement.

Cons of offer:
-will be away from home for 50% of the year

For everyone holding multiple offers and asking about which company to join, doesn't everything ultimately depend on the project which you are joining and your manager there irrespective of which company you join?

Any advice for negotiation? Advice on move from tech role (Front office/ trading tech) to trading. How is FO tech seen/perceived with the trading folks ? Also pay for entry level tech in a bank is good (higher than entry level trading role) and have a clear progression of salary and move, but it doesn’t get too high. How is it compared to trading?
