The Year end process at Deloitte has me reflecting on my past engagements. I’ve two tough and stressful project experiences that absolutely consumed my life at the time. The amount of stress and anxiety I felt, I’d never wish on anyone. Is it too dramatic to say that it’s hard to even think about those points in my life?
Small independent agency with decent clients for more money, or large holdco agency with a top 25 client for less?
Is it okay to apply to an agency in order to work for a specific client? If so, should cover letter focus on passion for said client or focus solely on the agency?
That awkward moment when your client whips out an electronic cigarette and starts puffing away mid presentation.
Ever been on a project where the project lead is hungry for car rental points and would let anyone else book it, even if it's inconvenient
Hi ladies, its my first time posting here but thought I'd ask for some advice on this. am a beginner UXer with a design education background. I just got a job as UI Designer. I am super anxious. I am good at research to wireframing. But UI, never done it before... high fid, design systems etc are all so new to me. This is making me so insecure getting into the new job what if I make a fool of myself? What if I ruin projects and real client work? Should be excited but can't stop overthinking.
Really want to make the switch to client side, but nervous I don’t have all the qualifications for CRM analyst/manager. I love strategy/data. Thoughts/ideas?

Any advice on managing crossfire between partner and project manager? Prepared a deck based on flow & structure discussed with PM, then partner reached out individually asking for a different flow. Checked again with the PM and he doesn’t agree with the partner’s feedback. Now I’m kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Hi All, Am a developer mainly working with SQL and I want to move to AWS (devops), so I started to learn & practice few tools such as terraform, saltstack, prometheus, etc. But I do not have hands on a live project, any ideas if companies would take in beginners in AWS ? Even though there are cloud projects in my domain it is a bit difficult to get into those projects as my lead & manager give me the standard answer "you're a critical resource for our project" :( Any advice guys ? Are any recent grads happy in their jobs? Just started last fall and feel like I’ve received minimal support from my firm and not developing any real skills. Looking to switch companies but I’m not sure if it’s company-specific or just COVID in general

Cautious to keep dumping money into s&p since so much I put in was during aggressive growth of last 1.5 yrs. Currently $400k in 401k (all equities, mostly US), $130k in brokerage (85% us equities, 15% intl), about to put $20k (me plus partner) in iBonds. Have $175k cash (recent bonus mostly). Need $30k for wedding soon, then keep emergency fund. So ~$100k..WWYD?
How much should I ask for a Data Engineer role in Mphasis. I have close to 5 years of experience.
Got an offer for a job that starts in the summer (Jul 2022) and the firm is willing to apply for the H1B lottery. Since I’d have two entries (McK + other firm), what happens if the McK entry gets picked up (assuming the other firm isn’t)? Am I correct to assume that I’d have to stay at McK atleast until Oct 2022? Or can the other firm formally apply for my H1B instead?
I’m having a major surgery this week and my sister told me she couldn’t make it because she does have enough vacation days left for the year and she wants to save them in case we go on vacation later in the year. I’m livid.

I’m currently in my last semester for my Masters in Data Science and received an offer from Deloitte for a risk and financial advisory analyst role within the AI and Analytics team. TC will be above 90k. Deloitte is definitely expanding their efforts in the Machine Learning field but not sure if I should keep looking for a more traditional tech company. I have 1 year research in Data Science and would appreciate any input! Thanks in advance.

For those in smaller high growth tech companies, where do you turn for resources on org development, engagement, trends, etc.? I’m moving from a large tech org to a a 150 person company. SHRM does not seem relevant at all. Podcasts, social media followings, etc?
Hi community, humbly seeking professional HR advice. I recently joined my company’s HR team. In an informal conversation, a senior HRBP, considered a peer, called 2 of our fellow HR colleagues “worthless.” I should have rebuked her then & there but was so caught off guard. This person is 20 years my senior. In the same conversation this person advocated for me on a separate matter & complimented my performance. I am not sure what course of action to take at this time. Distraught & unsure.
Is it tough to switch projects for KPMG federal? Contract is up soon and don't want to sit on the bench for a while.
Took 4 antigen tests last night. 2 by InteliSwab that both came out negative. 2 by CareStart / Access Bio that both gave me a faint positive line (tests expire in Jan 2022). No PCR available in the area. Not sure if I have Covid or not…
