They pay the bill? Otherwise, partner will address. If they don't, you shouldn't. But accounting as a whole could grow a spine. Maybe we could bill whatever we want like lawyers, actual consulting, etc...

This is making me so insecure getting into the new job what if I make a fool of myself? What if I ruin projects and real client work? Should be excited but can't stop overthinking.

WWYD: 35 years old. Just started aggressive savings couple yrs ago (started career non profit, then mba and then paying loans off). Cautious to keep dumping money into s&p since so much I put in was during aggressive growth of last 1.5 yrs. Currently $400k in 401k (all equities, mostly US), $130k in brokerage (85% us equities, 15% intl), about to put $20k (me plus partner) in iBonds. Have $175k cash (recent bonus mostly). Need $30k for wedding soon, then keep emergency fund. So ~$100k..WWYD?

Got an offer for a job that starts in the summer (Jul 2022) and the firm is willing to apply for the H1B lottery. Since I’d have two entries (McK + other firm), what happens if the McK entry gets picked up (assuming the other firm isn’t)? Am I correct to assume that I’d have to stay at McK atleast until Oct 2022? Or can the other firm formally apply for my H1B instead?

This person is 20 years my senior. In the same conversation this person advocated for me on a separate matter & complimented my performance. I am not sure what course of action to take at this time. Distraught & unsure.
