I was contacted by a recruiter on behalf of a nonprofit seeking a remote executive director. Recruiter asked what my target salary is. According to 2020 990 info, the total annual revenue was $242,732, and total salary expenses was $150,448. On their website, there are four staff listed not including the ED. Their positions are: Director, Managing Director, Senior Editor, and Communications/Engagement Manager.

What is a reasonable target salary to respond to the recruiter with?

Hi Fishes,

I will be joining @Infosys consulting within a month. The CTC offered to me has a superannuation component attached to it and it is significant. The recruiter however mentioned that it is possible to reduce the amount of superannuation component from retiral section and add it to the in-hand part. If anyone has recently gone through the process, could you please guide me?@

Women how would you react to this- I’m talking to a woman with a child. Really into her and we seem to be really compatible. I told her today that I wanted to take care of both her and her child, I invited her and her child out on my boat to go tubing and more. Continue in comments

A new analyst has joined our team and we often give them models/ slides but don’t always ask them if they know all of the accounting principles to be able to make minute adjustments to EBITDA or free cash flow. We are a FIG platform, so the knowledge required is relatively unique as well and not as easy to google as corporate transactions. Is there a better way to coach the analyst short of just throwing them in the deep end to figure it out or should we wait for them to ask us for help?

I am a Sales Support Engineer (Applications Engineer) with 2 YOE. I am thinking about making a change because my job is no longer challenging, and there isn’t much growth opportunity in my company. I love my team, but I feel like I may need to move on. I am at 70k a year and have been told time and time again that I have learned faster than anyone they have seen and am a top performer. I don’t feel like I am being compensated for that either. Any suggestions on companies and target salaries?

To lateral or not to lateral?

Second year junior associate.

Current: AmLaw Top 100
vs.
Lateral to: AmLaw Top 30.

New firm pays slightly higher salary but still below market.

Current: 1,900 billable
vs.
Lateral to: 1,800.

I’m very comfortable where I’m at. Firm culture and people are great with a solid work/life balance.

The potential new firm *seems* just as great, if not better. But, obvious emphasis on SEEMS.

What has helped y’all make a similar decision?
