Close to snapping and telling my manager to F*** off & do the work himself, or just quit without a job lined up. I’m spread across three projects and they are literally doing nothing, but forwarding me work they don’t want to do themself

At that point, you have nothing to lose by first scheduling some time with your manager(s?) and letting them know that you have an overwhelming amount of work and may need some help to cover it all.

The absolute worst they can do is fire you, and you’re already contemplating quitting because of how bad things are. However in a good scenario, you could end up much happier without having to change jobs.

Why do you have to snap? I just say “I’ve added this to my list” and then I don’t do the task until I have time. If they follow up for a status, I say “I have some other projects, but this is on my list” until they get the idea. If they want it done faster they’ll do it themselves or re-assign it. No need to stress out, become overwhelmed, or quit over this.

My Assistant has been extremely unprofessional lately. When I've been giving her work she either vaguely tells me "I don't have time" or gives pushback about it not being a task for her. When she makes mistakes I point them out to her and if they're significant, explain the impact the mistake could have on the case. They're things that could be avoided if she carefully read my instructions, looked at the filing or asked if she wasn't sure. Continued...

Hi, I am a technical consultant, really a full stack developer, with 5 years of industry experience. My work life balance right now is great and I don’t see a reason to go anywhere but I am being approached by other companies with much better salaries. With that being said, I have brought that up to my manager and he said to come up with a number that would make me stay. Given that information, I have done my research on Glassdoor but I am curious what you all have to say a good range would be.

Tuesday’s are so hard for me. I can get through most other days and some days are emotionally harder than others, but Tuesday’s are always a 10/10 when it comes to anxiety, depression, hair pulling, self doubt. I have no idea what it is about Tuesday’s that do this to me. Does anyone else have a day like this?

I’ve gone to a therapist 3 times now, and I am unsure if this is the right therapist for me. I’m not sure how therapy is supposed to work as this is my first time, but it feels like she never really has much of an agenda to work through with me and I kind of run the appointment. I don’t mind doing a lot of talking but it almost feels like I’m just paying a lot of money to vent to someone, as she really just listens rather than giving me helpful advice or doing exercises with me. Is this normal?

Hi all, I have a more general post and would like to hear about your experiences - How do you know if the dosage of your anti-depressants or anxiety medication is too strong for you? How do you know when those medications don't work for you at all and when any new ones do?

Have you ever felt even more depressed and unmotivated on these meds? What other treatments has your psychiatrist offered aside from prescriptions?
