Please don’t go to Cognizant. We used to laugh about the Cognizant when we were on client site with them....

I laugh at EY leveling up mediocre PwC seniors to attract “talent”

Is Cognizant the labor outsourcing firm? If yes, don’t go no matter what title or $

Yes there are outsourcing parts of the business, but the advisory / consulting groups compete with the big4, ACN, and in some cases MBB

You're going as M1 to cognizant? I suggest push for AD (Associate Director) but least as SM. one of my team members joined Deloitte as SC from cognizant where he was an SM so that might be a reference point for you. on the comp side, I highly doubt they'll be able to pay that but good for you if they do. I have my reservations about cognizant culture and other things but attractive for the wlb. you may want to think about what important for you but it's definitely less stressful than Deloitte

Better question is, what role could I expect to come in at there and am I wasting my time with that number?

That sounds like an overwhelming “no” from the crowd. Thanks for the heads up. Have a couple phone interviews tomorrow and they were like “we like to conduct the interview and then assess level” so that seemed like a negative indicator as well. I assumed comp would be an issue as well so I made sure the recruiter knew it was a primary concern. We will see.

What you are asking for is absolutely possible. Cognizant has both an outsourcing and advisory/consulting business similar to Accenture. Don’t confuse the two.. I recommend interviewing and then decide for yourself if you are interested in joining. I’d target SM level which will hit your comp and has around ~20% target bonus (which you will get unless you screw up)

Run don’t walk from cognizant ... no wlb and the culture is chaotic at best... Also going through some major restructuring so over all it would be a difficult transition.

If anyone wants to join a boutique HR & Talent Advisory consulting firm, Kincentric is hiring for an Associate Partner role! Location doesn’t really matter, but preferably in IL, NY, or ATL.
