Hi guys, Can someone give me some insights on TE Connectivity? I am currently working in a consulting firm. Any insights around the work culture will be helpful.
It just occurred to me that part of why I like posting on Fishbowl is that no one knows my gender
Revamping my agency's terrible internship program. For those of you who have had a great internships, what made it so great? What were the most valuable things you learned? If you had a not-so-great experience, what could you have done without? What do you wish you would've learned? Thanks in advance!
My PA CPA license is currently in process. I need to get licensed in IL as that’s my home state now but couldn’t apply directly due to not meeting IL education requirements. Should I atleast get my IL application started and submitted and submit the PA license to them whenever I get it? I know it takes like 2 months for them to even get to your application. I’m working up against a promotion so time is essential
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
Anyone want to share insights on the team culture within REWS in the US? Offer coming in but can’t get a sense🤷🏽♂️
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
FYI- We are hiring a Media Buyer (TV/Radio experience required) and a Copywriter! Remote/WFH with no plans in the near future to return to office.
One of my Kinders refuses to go to the bathroom at school. I have a bathroom in my classroom and there is a bathroom at the playground. He will hold it until he wets his pants. I have tried everything that I know of to get him to use the bathroom. I’ve talked with my principal and the school counselors and have tried everything that they have come up with. Nothing is working. Mom and dad both say that this is the only place he does this at. He will go just fine outside of school. Suggestions?
Currently an A3 in audit. My team communicated to me that they’re pushing for me to get mid-year promo (Jan 2022) but I’m also interested in leaving to another Big 4 for AAS as an S1. Current salary is $73.6k and am unsure of how much I should be going for to make the jump worth it. I know EY FAAS offered a friend $85k in my market but assuming I get mid year promo I’m not so sure the salary bump would be significant enough. How much room for negotiation is there with Big 4 experienced hires?
Anyone from the PepsiCo corporate strategy team willing to talk about culture and day-to-day? Trying to understand if it’s a good fit.

Remember when Fauci said we didn't need masks then said we did but only N95 masks, but then said any face covering will work. Then said if you're vaccinated you need to double mask. Then said you can single mask. Then said no masks if you're vaccinated. Now the CDC says you need a 3rd vaccine shot to "greatly" prevent delta variant. But no, EVEN if you're vaccinated you can get Covid. Like f off. This is not exact science clearly. I have taken 2 shots but now I refuse to listen to this BS.
Headed back to a client site for the first time since February 2020. What do people even wear anymore?! I feel like a kid playing dress up. Help.
Topic: dating apps. How to successfully navigate them? Do you have a success story and lessons learned from it? (Lol)
Anyone have experience with Sterling Background Checks? How long did it take? Trying to figure out when to put in my two weeks. No international work experience but have a couple states I’ve worked in and an internship that didn’t have a W2
After you’ve connected with a consultant on LinkedIn what’s the best practice for asking someone to give you a practice case? To balance respect someone’s time vs coming off as transactional. Should you first ask for coffee chat, then later a case or can you ask for a case in your first “chat”? I am prepping for MBB interviews but I know consultants work crazy hours so I don’t want to take up more time than necessary - what would you prefer? What is the best practice?
