What is the promotion cycle in Deloitte? My joining date is on January. Am I eligible for promotion in next year? Can we consider first 1 year as probation period?
How long should you work at a firm before you start looking for opportunities? I’ve heard it’s wise to wait until a promotion otherwise you get the stigma that you’re a job hopper. Also, what’s the minimal time you can work on a place and put it on your resume?
Would you rather stay in a niche that you’ve been doing well in, but you happen to find not too interesting, or try new areas and risk not doing as well? Ive been in pharma analytics for the last 4 years, receive good client feedback, good raises / promotion and have learned a lot. But I’m not sure if I want to continue in pharma long term.
How/when to ask for a pay raise? Is it okay to ask for a pay raise after working for one year, if so how much should I ask? Details inside
If I join Deloitte in 2022 Jan for 'Business technology analyst' role, when will I get promotion to 'Consultant'?
I've basically managed to automate the entirety of my job (backend server maintenance) and I have a ton of free time. Should I ask for a promotion?
I've been with my current company for 2 years now(total around 4 yoe in 2 companies). My manager told me that he sent my name up for promotion(level 1 to level 2), but the board only selected 1 of the 4 names he sent. He says he really likes my work, and that he will be sending my name again next year. What should I do next? Stick around or switch teams/jobs? Any advice would be appreciated.
What are raises to manager like at KPMG? Is there a senior raise and then a merit raise for promotion on top of that?
Interested in hearing from the Sr Mgrs (and recently promoted PPEDs) on how transparent the process for promotion to PPED is. And how the annual SM rating process operates.
Any idea what an estimated % raise would be for someone at PwC with a PhD going from Senior Consultant II likely to Manager II because I have 9 years of experience?
Anyone ever leave a job, start a new job and go back to their old job? Why? How soon? Did you get a raise when you went back? Let me know! Thanks!
Someone in an HR session asked how Diversity and Inclusion retention/promotion efforts could negatively impact people who aren't "diverse." That's a bad look bruh.
Can’t help but feel invisible in my current situation- I’ve been pursuing a transfer for over a year (within my same group) and even though I’ve repeatedly asked for help and pulled in directors and partners —I keep getting pawned off to different people. This has cost me a promotion this year although I’m a high performer and my pay is at the high end of my bracket. Meanwhile, white colleagues are getting promoted each year (unheard of). I am told that i’m getting paid well so to be ‘happy’
$2k raise is in effect! Throwing down tonight!! 😂😂😂😂
Im a CPA with 2 years of tax experience at pwc (promised promotion in Jan with 5k bonus) I currently make 63k a year after bonuses but I’m looking to transition to a smaller firm and get hired on as a senior ASAP. What is a reasonable salary to negotiate for? Plz help I don’t want to leave anything on the table but also don’t want to be unreasonable.
More and more colleagues are claiming that bringing a job offer from the competition is the fastest way to get a promotion from mgr to sr mgr and/to MD, do you agree?
I also have a JD and have been asked to take on roles/tasks of paralegal/associate. How do I turn that into a raise at my annual review without seeming greedy?
EY FSO Advisory roundtable master thread to discuss rating distributions and potential raise ranges.
Hi Fellow Fishes, It is very important to take some time off every now and then. If you can take at least a week off every 2 months, and use that to get some office work done, trust me it will change your life...
Would a SHRM certification be beneficial for a consultant in organization strategy? Anyone in a similar boat?
My company doesn’t offer 401k (startup) I’m looking to invest into ira for last year and for this year. What brokerage service would you advice that I should use?
Stay or go ? I'm at an early stage tech start up and gaining experience in an industry that I like. However, I am getting no formal training or sales coaching. Everything I've done so far (Inc. Targeted marketing and prospecting) has been self taught and I feel like I am lacking professional knowledge if I was to move onto a different company, especially considering that I am not involved in the full sales cycle.
Just found out my firm bases bonuses on billed out hours rather than actual billed hours. Any work a partner cuts before the bill is sent to the client or any non billable work does not count for the bonus. I am not happy. Is this enough to move firms over? This isn’t standard practice as far as I know?
Cardinal commerce a subsidiary of Visa Inc. How much should i expect TC (base+ bonus+stocks) for Sr.Tech Product Manager role?
Hi fishes, I have cleared all interviews 2 weeks back and uploaded documents in portal. How long does Accenture take to release an offer?
Does anyone have insight into A&M WLB, comp, benefits, etc they are willing to share? At a high level I get that the bonus is a portion of billable hours*bill rate* collection %, but any additional insight is greatly appreciated! Interviewing for a manager position in PEPI
As an AAE, is there hope of getting a salary bump while you're in this position? Or do you have to wait until you're promoted in title as well?
Any dangers of quitting on H1B approval email/online status and not the physical notice? Manager pushing to put my 2 weeks in but lawyers are saying that sometimes online approval maybe incorrect
Is it difficult getting into the INSEAD MBA program? Also, how respected is it in the US?
Starting a project in Secaucus, NJ soon. Tips?
About to open a Solo 401K for my S-Corp and can't decide between Vanguard and Fidelity. Anyone strongly advise one or the other? Does it really matter much?
I feel like my classroom is really small. It’s an interior room, so there are no windows, which doesn’t help. I’m looking for suggestions that make my room feel larger and brighter. Thanks!
Girlfriends mother attempted suicide last Friday (didn’t go through). We are long distance and she had panic attacks all weekend before calling me today to break up with me. I had no idea. Said she doesn’t have emotional capacity to be in a relationship. Not looking for advice, just heartbroken for her and for our relationship. I loved her more than I’ve ever loved anyone in my life and she pushed me away 😞
Getting free breakfast lunch and dinner everyday but still getting a per diem #boss status
I’ve been going on interviews for product / owner and scrum master roles and the feedback I get “we feel you don’t have as much experience working with a team. For example, UX and QA.” I’m confused bc in my projects I had to do those roles (though they were smaller scale) How do I convince companies I’m capable?
