Realistically what will happen, given this puts the burden on the employee rather than employer, is that people who do respond after hours and continue working as they have been.
This would have been more worker-friendly had it been structured like similar laws in France and Germany that bar employers from contacting employees outside of working hours.
Meant to say people who respond after hours and keep working as they have will likely see greater advancement and get more opportunities than those who enforce the boundary.
Yeah this is not gonna happen/be enforced.
Already been told that the firm respects the rule but expects employees to abide by client deadlines and not by this law due to certain exceptions. However, pwc has been really good with wlb!
Our company shared some vauge policy on Thursday. I interpret it to mean “literally nothing has changed, but the company complies with the regulation now”
You get much less paid in Canada but housing cost and taxes are crazy as hell.
