Yes, just takes time! Took me 8-9 months with my first. Taking longer with my second. Rent the Runway is a great service until you’re back to where you want to be!

Yes. It took about 8 or 9 months post-partum, and some things are still tight in different places than they were before, but I’m mostly back in pre-pregnancy work clothes. For context, I gained about 50 lbs during my pregnancy (mostly water/swelling), I was a runner pre-baby and try to get out there once or twice a week when work isn’t crazy, I am still breastfeeding at nearly 11 months, and I live in a walk-up.

Super, thanks for sharing! 🙏🏼 🙏🏼 🙏🏼 And kudos on breastfeeding at 11 months!! I’m a runner too, plus skiing in the winter, so hopefully I don’t have to throw away my old work clothes. I can tough it out with a few new pieces plus maternity clothes this year :) How is work with a 11-month old?

Bounced right back with my 1st... lost the weight by 4-6 months pp. never bounced back from my second 😫😫😫

like

Yes! I am now back 5 months and am in most of my old clothes. Although you should avoid anything that was previously tights on your hips because those are super different now.

I got back below my pre-pregnancy weight after #1, though it actually took 15 months (weirdly, I lost 12 lbs right *after* I stopped breastfeeding). Have yet to get back to pre-pregnancy weight after #2, though. Sigh.

It’s not weird at all! I always suspected breastfeeding being the culprit of my last 10 lbs — it makes me hungry all. the. time. Congrats on baby no. 2, by the way!

Second year Consultant who came from a benefits broker. I feel like I am very much still learning the ropes of consulting. Was asked to help on a deck for proposal work for something I have no background/knowledge in. Told by the partner that I wouldn’t be creating content just story boarding and managing and organizing in the deck. The manager, familiar with the proposed solution, however seems to be annoyed with me that I didn’t create content. Not sure what to make of this?

Received a verbal offer from a recruiter congratulating me on clearing the final round. However did not receive a written offer or what the TC package would look like. They have started the right to work checks and the investments / pension plan declaration. Is this normal? Should I send across any documents or wait for the written offer to come through (not even sure if the terms offered would be favourable!!)? Anyone faced a similar situation / have any advice on how to proceed? Thanks!

Does anyone have a name for what I'm looking for? Essentially, I'm looking for a resource to give to clients that really need to assess their current benefits and pay structure (and pay equity) in comparison to other organizations in the market and to provide the results and a roadmap of how to get where they need to be in order to retain and attract talent. Something like an HR Turnaround Consultant but I'm sure there is a better name?
