Coming off anxiety meds, withdrawal symptoms are terrible. Panic attacks and crying on client site (in private) daily. It’s obviously affecting my performance - how to tell my manager?

Why are you stopping?

Talk to your doctor. You need a better taper plan if you’re having significant withdrawals.

Panic attacks are the worse
Really sorry to hear

Tapering because it wasn’t effective. Have a very slow-paced taper plan but this specific med is notorious for its withdrawal symptoms

Tell your manager that you have a medical issue and would like to speak privately- then explain that you're tapering off of a medicine (don't need to say that it's for anxiety if you don't want) and you believe the side effects are effecting work

Your solution should be that you will let your manager know when you need to take some time out during the day and that you'll make up the time/complete the work as necessary

You should also make sure that if you can't complete tasks, that you have a buddy that can help you out. Either your manager or a trusted peer who you can help with something else when you're back on your feet.

Good luck!

So sorry OP. Have you discussed with your doc? Seems that you shouldn’t have to go through such a tough transition .

What’s the medicine? Would love to know so I can avoid in the future...recently diagnosed with GAD

@B1 - Symptoms are of benzo withdrawal. All benzos can be a rough ride. But rough guess, this is Klonopin (aka Clonazepam)?

The medicine is Paxil (paroxetine). Worst SSRI to go off of.

Looking for practical advice on improving my attitude to work.

So imagine an imaginary scale where 0 is the worst piece of work a studio could produce and 10 is the best possible outcome.

As an animator working in an agency, I normally end up involved in projects towards the end, so by the time I get my hands on a project I can add between 1 and 3 depending on how much effort I put in.

If a project is a 3 when I get it, how do I summon the energy to make it a 6 that I could to make a 7 a 10?

We were both doing equal but obviously a lead gets more limelight due to that my manager has awarded her with 25k as a reward
While i got only verbal recognition Now i am quite mad not sure what to do

I am finishing up a project and I’m trying to document what I’ve done for my resume. What are some good metrics for someone who mainly created user stories, created dashboards, interacted with the client and developed statistical models? One of my dashboards got deployed to production but it’s to early to see the impact. My other dashboards are almost done but I’m moving on to something else.
