Commercial USDC Is almost equal to being in core - travel, stress, excessive work on par anyways - why do we need a different talent model with skimmed benefits?

Any recommendation for a solo trip in the U.S? I left biglaw after 3 years to a mid-size firm. Took a pay cut but the hours, people, culture and work were so much better I never thought twice about the salary or “prestige.” Ultimately I started 2 very small firms. I am not rich by biglaw standards but I have a very comfortable life and put my kids through college with no debt. 35 years after leaving big law, people are still impressed when I say I started there. I feel like I still had the benefits of the connection w/o the suffering.
