Guns n Roses at MetLife this Thursday. Desifam - I’ve had to travel to India on short notice this week. I have two tix booked for the GnR concert (Axl Rose and Slash back together!) at MetLife on Aug 6th in Section 225, 2nd row. Willing to give away those 2 tix for <50% of the purchase price (which was $180 ea). Anyone interested, just DM me and I’ll transfer these over!
Any recommendation for a solo trip in the U.S? I’m 27F, petite, Asian American, don’t drive so renting a car is out of option :/ I love good food, city, nature, adventure, chilling in beach, etc. Basically everything lol I would like somewhere that’s relatively safe to travel solo, don’t need a rental car (Uber or public transport is ok), and has good things to do there. Needing your help!

Hey PT’s! I’m a physical therapist with 11 years of experience currently looking into telerehab physical therapist positions and I’m seeing a pretty wide range of salary offerings. What compensation structure (eg hourly, salary, per visit), rates, and benefits are you all seeing for positions? Feel free to share your level of experience as well!
I left biglaw after 3 years to a mid-size firm. Took a pay cut but the hours, people, culture and work were so much better I never thought twice about the salary or “prestige.” Ultimately I started 2 very small firms. I am not rich by biglaw standards but I have a very comfortable life and put my kids through college with no debt. 35 years after leaving big law, people are still impressed when I say I started there. I feel like I still had the benefits of the connection w/o the suffering.
Okay Delta. How do you run out of Jack Daniels and Bacardi Rum in the E terminal Sky Lounge? Poor planning.

Long story short, I have a bachelors in Public Health/Health Science, and no idea what to do with it. I currently am contracted with a disabilities agency in the vocational services side of things, working for $20/hr with no benefits. I realize this is a very low paying job, but I do not know the extent of the career options with the degree I have. I’d like to ask, what would be the highest paying/most rewarding career options for me?
Maybe some perspective might be of use to me. I’m transitioning out of the service and I’ve positioned myself decently to be competitive in the market. I’ve got two offers from great companies. Biotech and Healthcare, both on the Human Capital Team as an Employee Relations Consultant. I have a graduate degree pursuing a Doctorate, LSSBB, ScrumMaster, SPHR, and PMI-ACP certified. I know this is personal and dependent, but what should I be considering as a commensurate salary?
Does anyone have input as to how most designers or graphic designers are doing during this pandemic? Since January 2020, I became laid off from my job working full-time and remotely for a Southwest Florida urologist that I worked for about 10 years. no it seemed I was going to get my job back around July of last year, he decided to create a partnership with an oncologist who had his own marketing team. Because of the partnership, it looks like I can only work freelance for them now.

At a Marriott and I have the day off. Checking out today but I have late checkout and asked for 4. They explicitly said they’d let housekeeping know but at 4 different times today..9:30,10, 10:30, 11
Nothing better than sitting outside of your hotel @ 2am because the fire alarm decides to go off AND not the first time for the night, I guess the first time was just practice. #travelingforworkisfun

Do you like working at the USDC?
I am currently in USDC Lake Mary and planning to move to the Mechanisburg office. Any apartment recommendations ?
Does anyone have experience with experienced hire referrals at the USDC? I’m with the USDC already and looking to refer my partner. I think she would be a great fit so I want to help as much as possible
Any managers remember what your max AIP was listed on offer letter?
I know SS is 6% and SSS is 9%. Is M 12%?
Leaders hyping up DU to an audience that includes hundreds of USDC practitioners is NOT fostering inclusivity. (I understand that we are not invited… I just don’t like everything I’m missing out in being rubbed in my face)
People who have client/ team calls should consider getting a room!! Woman behind me on phone since 45 mins & yapping non stop! 😡😡😡 No courtesy or respect for others!! Wonder if I can report her!!
Why does USDC supply chain send some to DU, while other OPs don’t. Wouldn’t we all benefit?
So are analyst getting a bonus this year?
I’m new and I’m still not understanding the concept of USDC. Aside from pay, and supposedly more 9-5, what’s the difference. It doesn’t appear for me that anyone else on my projects is USDC (how would I know/check?) and I have no clue how many hours they’re working. It’s just all confusing.
I am a FTM, looking for childcare recommendations for my 3 month old lo in Mechanicsburg. Where do you send your kids? How did you select the daycare? How many hours do they spend there- full time or part time? How old were they when they started?

Can USDC folks be aligned to offices that PDM employees are assigned to? I see that the location is “US - Placename Delivery” for both of them. Or are USDC employees strictly aligned to the 3 centres & can’t change locations?
I work in the USDC and just referred someone to a job posted on the internal board. Is it bad form for me to email the listed recruiter or do they get a ton of those emails?
Aside from the low pay, one of my biggest gripes working at USDC was the culture. Working remotely has made work so much more bearable. Anyone else share my thoughts? I'm dreading the return to office - just thinking about working in the office is giving me PTSD 😂
New to Fishbowl?

It depends on the project. I’d argue we do need a different model, but that we need to adhere to the DC model a lot more because otherwise were just underpaid consultants.
I think delivery center can be just for GPS - commercial anyways needs fair amount of travel, client presentation skills, tech is also more upscale - near shore can might as well be offshore making it more financially favorable. Makes it easier on folks to decide understanding the differences and accepting the reduced benefits- just my thought
OP not sure if you are advisory or consulting. advisory got an email saying USDC will be completely transitioned to GPS unit. Commercial needs to go USI for low cost needs. Going forward commercial is allowed to USDC only on a exception basis.
Here you go
