I’m a new freelance editor based in Connecticut. I spend most of my time editing but also act as an AC/grip/shooter on different jobs. I’m projected to make roughly 90k this year (first full year as a freelancer) and am curious if this is an average income for somebody who does similar work or if there is a lot of room for growth?

Hello Folks,
Can you pls advise on which company to go for.
R-Systems : They are providing WFH + clarity on the project and team for which I’ll be working upon.
CTS : No clarity as of now, only thing I am aware is that I’m a part of full stack community.
HCL : Some clarity on the project but less package than other two.
R-Systems and CTS are giving same CTC.
YOE ~8
Skill set : . Net full stack + Angular + Azure

Thanks

How important is the company,it’s culture, it’s performance, earnings and current reviews and news for accepting a job offer there?
What I majorly see is people only talking about how much they’ll be paid.. and this mindset leads to early burnout and loss of interest in the work.

Hi all,

I am currently an Assistant Manager for my companies Operations department. I have been in the role since Feb 2018, initially as a Supervisor, and in the beginning of 2021 got promoted to Assistant Manager. Prior to this role I worked as a claim adjuster since the beginning of 2009. I feel my current comp for my role is underpaying me ($80k CAD), but wanted to ask here to get perspective.

I can provide these for my current company, but difficult to get for earlier ones, since it's been almost 10 yrs I have left them. I have written to hr of previous companies but no response yet.
I told CTS HR that I have experience letter, relieving letter, salary slips , bank statement, but she says it's not enough. Any thoughts pls?

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations

Hello! I was just offered a job, but the salary is significantly lower than the range I asked for and when I asked to negotiate they said, we can’t go any higher. Should I walk?

The range I gave was 80-85k/ annually and they said oh that should work, the range for this role is $35-$42/hr - but then they came back and offered me $35/hr.

The main draw to the role at this point is the name of the company. But not sure it’s worth leaving my current role.

Hello 👋🏾, I’m very new ( 3 years in now ) to the engineering tech world i got a position last Sept as an engineering admin servicing a couple of buildings for 68k a year salaried and i was hybrid. Hi everyone! I received a verbal offer but having some 2nd thoughts on moving forward and leaning towards declining. When the recruiter gets back to me, should i wait for them to send me the written offer or just decline from the start? Is it bad to wait for them to draft an offer if im intending to decline anyways?
