Comp question: I’ve started recruiting for a few PE portco ops. It’s early in the process and one of the recruiters asked me about my expected comp. 1. Does anyone know what’s a reasonable reply? I have no idea what to ask for. Just under 4 YOE. Was thinking mid to high 100s. 2. Should I answer this question early on? Thank you!!! I read the other posts and comp reports but the numbers cited seemed a bit high.

What is the maximum salary and %hike you can get in India under 10-12 YOE non IIT/IIM ?
i believe you can get max 35LPA fixed / 50% on last drawn CTC and 100% hike in case of YOE under 6yrs.

I moved to US a couple of years back and did my CPA. I accepted an offer of 58k for tax associate at a PA firm. Getting experience was my priority. Now after 3 years I am at 76k. Priority has shifted from experience to money. Is 76k low/high/about right for 3 years of experience at a mid sized firm?

Currently work as a VP of Sales with 15 YOE. Im managing a large team and revenue target for a growing business. The money is good but I can’t help this nagging feeling of doing something else. What options are there to move into consulting but not the typical post-MBA consulting role? Is it the smart move to take a pay cut and clerk for a judge?

Little context: I was an ED student, full time paralegal/clerk throughout my law school experience, and a single mother. I did not take advantage of the law school extracurriculars and missed out on clerk application deadlines my final year (2020). Would it benefit me to take a pay cut as a transactional clerk by about $20k to work as a clerk for a year then re-enter firm life? I’m transactional and enjoy that line of work.
