I just started a new job and am liking it. However, I just found out they’re hiring an ex-coworker, who is more junior to me/less experience but giving them the same title + salary as me. This is upsetting me, and I don’t know how to approach without sounding petty or jealous.

Recently I have completed probation in Accenture, and got offer from HCL, Is there any chance to revise the package? because I have completed only 6 months in Accenture, If I compare CTC of both there is huge difference it's round 10 lacs, HCL offering 60 per hike.

I was working for ad agency here in Minneapolis and they reached out to me on LinkedIn without a job description saying that they wanted a seasoned digital project manager which I am. I accepted the offer and started working for this agency and now 6 months in they are asking me also do Wireframes and Content planning together with a project manager role as their team is super small and they do not have dedicated ux/ui and seo members in place.I said that is not my part of the job and parted.

Question: I want to get into freelance to get some extra $$ on the side and to clear my head from my day job. What’s a reasonable pay to put together for rates I have 8+ years of experience in SMM and Brand/creative. Someone wants me to manage their social media accounts but I want to make sure what I present is worth my time and if they’re willing to pay that amount if not I’m not doing it. Also should I charge hourly/weekly or monthly?

A new analyst has joined our team and we often give them models/ slides but don’t always ask them if they know all of the accounting principles to be able to make minute adjustments to EBITDA or free cash flow. We are a FIG platform, so the knowledge required is relatively unique as well and not as easy to google as corporate transactions. Is there a better way to coach the analyst short of just throwing them in the deep end to figure it out or should we wait for them to ask us for help?

Currently work on the strategy team at a well known series d ai/software startup. Role includes pricing, go to market, m&a, etc.

Is it possible to break into growth equity at somewhere like insight, TA, Norwest, or smaller shops? Should I consider an MBA?

26M, 4 YOE in consulting (non MBB focused on digital strategy) > startup that didn’t do great for 6 months > took an internship for 6 months at an emerging growth equity firm investing in companies similar to my own > current role.

What do you all think lies in store for PE over the next 5-10 years? Especially given record levels of dry powder + fewer truly good opportunities + more expensive debt?
