Anybody from Google ATL office here? Wanted to learn about the culture & roles available here. Any trade off being here vs Cali? Feel free to DM!
Why do people keep saying San Francisco has great climate? Every night it feels like under 60 degrees in the summer and I cannot even sit outside comfortably. The rest of the year is ok but I DEFINITELY cannot live in a city with no summer.
Is greater SEA area still crazy to buy a house or is market cooled down? Planning to move 2nd qtr next year and need an idea how much money we need. Family of 4 with 2 young kids, looking for min 1800-2000 sq ft home.
Deloitte Manager 160k base salary (SFO) or Amazon 180k base Salary (Seattle)? Which is a better option? 12 years of overall experience (predominantly consulting). Currently based out of SFO
How much should I be asking for with 3YOE, no tech skills, non NYC or SFO cities, in industry?
Any hotel recommendations for San Diego? Typically stay at the Andaz but it's fully booked for an upcoming trip. Looking for Andaz/W type of places
Anyone live in San Diego area?
Went through CLEAR at LGA, made to rescan ID and boarding pass again at the TSA counter. So what's the point of clear again? Just skipping the line?
Ladies I'm based in ATL and I'm going to Chicago next week- what are your favorite office-friendly shoes/brands to look good and keep your feet warm? I am NOT prepared for Chicago cold lol
Hi Everyone! My parents are visiting San Francisco next week. They are in their early sixties. What are some activities that they could do? They already have a wine tour lined up an hour outside of San Francisco. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. They just want to have a memorable trip. One of them has never been to San Francisco, nor the Bay Area before, and my other parent has not been in well over a decade.
With all my flights planned on United through the end of year, I'll be only one PQF away from requalifying for United Gold Status. Is it worth an extra $89 and a few hours of my time to reroute myself to BOS on my way to LGA, just so l get the extra PQF to reach Gold? If I don't, I'll be at Silver next year, but idk what material differences are b/t Gold and Silver besides upgrades at 24h instead of 48h. Worth it?
San Francisco 🐠 what are the chances of running into people you know when you go out in the city?
Why do fish in consulting have such a lax attitude with protection. Do people not take std seriously anymore with casual hookups..... ? Smh
How does one get to DCA Terminal A (Southwest airlines) via public transport? I know the yellow/blue goes to DCA but it drops off at the opposite side of the airport. That walk over is easy enough to manage if you have a small carry on and budget the time to walk, but not so manageable if you have larger luggage.
Has anyone ever flown from Pensacola, Florida to Charlotte, North Carolina? PNS -> CLT seems like a pretty entertaining flight #milehighclub
PSA: DCA is a disaster leave early. Someone brilliant decided to host dog training in the morning delaying EVERYTHING
What are you doing with your portfolio with the upcoming election? 1. Selling some stocks and clearing up powder to get the best deals 2. Holding what I have and DCA as always 3. Selling everything as I think it's going to blow up like 2008 Also indicate your typical investment horizon.

Are there any Big law firms paying market with billable requirements in the 1800s, please?
Feel terrible about myself at the moment, been going through some emotional things the last year or two and have a fancy occasion to go to next week. Tried on various dresses in closet including recentish purchases that were up a size or two and nothing fits. Noticing crazy weight gain (not pregnant) and bloating constantly but unsure if I should go to a nutritionist, doctor for full work up, or start a food log. Don't eat fastfood and often times eating 1 meal a day etc. Anyone been here b4?
Hi, I am joining a new company next week, I received a full on boarding schedule which includes lot of 1-1 welcome from directors and executive directors, hiring manager, an assigned buddy. Now I wonder what should I talk to them about. I understand they should have something already planned. But I want to be prepared and I am curious to know how things work in such scenarios. This is my kind of my first full time job here in USA. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. TIA
Do NY salary history inquiries ban apply to lawyers being interviewed by another firm to become partner? Any insight helpful!

I can’t commit to studying for the GMAT. I’ve done some soul searching and think I don’t actually want an MBA that bad otherwise I’d be willing to commit. I think my only motivator is being worried about potentially stunting growth / trajectory without it. Anyone else had a similar experience?
I nailed the technical interview, and now have an interview dedicated to what kind of manager I am tomorrow. I'm really nervous as they will be asking questions over my communication style, talent development, collaboration, facilitating team engagement... any tips on how to approach these? I'm kind of scared to answer truthfully as I am a very laid back manager that is not a micromanager so don't want them to think I'm too casual for this position. I also have done very little hiring.
At same package working for which Big 4 will better for growth in the long in run and why EY or KPMG ? Considering SAP profile
