Currently working for Fidelity Investments , got an offer with Barclays , rejected offer from Standard Chartered for package, rejected Microchip and Robert Bosch for tech stack. Reason for leaving current cmpny-Dislike to work after 6 or 7PM IST. After looking through different company profiles, feeling like no other company is better than Fidelity investments in employee benefits like appraisals, food, cab, gifts, etc., Lets discuss! Anyother company to know? Thanks! No arguments!JustThoughts!😊

WE WANT ZOMBIE BOB DOLE!
I would have voted for Clinton if I had been old enough in 96, but I can respect Bob Dole as someone who tried to do what he thought was the right thing in office even if I didn't agree with him

MC1, and those are the type of leaders we want. I won’t always even agree with their decisions in office, but if I trust their character, I know at the very least I can sleep ok knowing our country and world can’t get too messed up. 🤔

Bob Dole is one of those people who I knew about vaguely but never really knew what they accomplished exactly. I guess it's part of that general tendenancy to not pay much attention to the old timers until they're dead and obituaries are out.

His presidential campaign was the first time my parents got actively involved in politics and volunteered for his campaign (minor stuff, I think they were responsible for arranging yard signs for part of our area and that was it). I was entirely uninterested in politics at the time and still don't remember anything about his actual platform, but we got to meet him after one of his campaign events and he was a really nice guy in person.
That little anecdote is just about all I know about the guy beyond just reading his wiki bio.
I’m not questioning his life’s work whatsoever but it astonishes me that a 98-yo person can continue working high-level government jobs.

Huh? He retired a long time ago. He did hand write a newspaper column, though, that was published Monday in USA Today. Called for bipartisanship.
