KPMG, respectfully I don’t understand what you’re saying about the constitutionality issue. Many constitutional rights are burdened, or limited, based on a balance between the burden and the need or justification foe the burden. For example the second amendment right to keep and bear arms has been significantly burdened by the national firearms act, which in turn was based on the safety threats posed by automatic weapons, certain explosives, and other weapons. On voter ID the balance is the extend of the burden (moderate) against the benefit (nil, because there’s no material voter impersonation). Please explain your post and also please let me know how you felt about the Covid free exercise case.

My mind isn’t changed. My question is, How do you think vaccine passports would have averted 100,000 new cases. I think we’re forgetting also that, while a small percentage of cases are fatal and others require longer recovery, most COVID cases have mild effects. Keep in mind Wave 1 had far more deaths with far fewer cases

Post Photo

It wouldn’t have and no one anywhere has said it would. What it would prevent is 10 people without a vaccine, who let’s say had covid, from going to The Garden with 20k other people.

Yea! How will poor people get the vaccine?

Various clinics are helping obtain the vaccines for lower income residents also it’s already paid for!

Doctor says I have it, but I honestly don’t believe them. I don’t eat cane sugar (not even in sauces), gluten, dairy, or soy. So not surprised I couldn’t process their drink-I don’t consume stuff like that regularly. I walk a mile or do HIIT training 5x/ week. The condition doesn’t run in my family (and my mom has 4 sisters w/kids-good sample size) (cont’d in comments)

What are some good things to drink besides water? I have PCOS so I need to drop added sugar from my drink choices.

The US is doomed. Milton Friedman predicted, a democratic country will become more inefficient as the country will become more socialist - as people will vote to tax the minority successful sectors and future voters. But most once mighty military powers or similar intransigent countries faced implosion and/or permanent decline

Anyone here economically center-left and socially center-right? I hear all the time about ppl who describe themselves as “socially liberal and fiscally conservative” but not so much for the inverse. It seems like this is more common outside of the US, but for some reason there is no mainstream political movement or party with that ideology here in the US.

Trump has the opportunity to credit himself with healing the broken fabric that binds Americans. All he has to do is a concession speech and a call in it to unite our brothers and sisters. That would be his revenge and a chance to take back the lost dignity. Else, I am not sure what the history will ever give him credit for.

I’m a staunch conservative. The ruling that overturns Roe v Wade is neither rooted in history nor in originalist constitutional law. Just because a right is not explicitly enumerated doesnt mean that the government can infringe upon it - the 9th amendment of the bill of rights is quite clear on this. Further, British common law (from which our laws were drawn) has always held that life DOES NOT begin at conception. This court is making a mockery of our founders and originalist legal philosophy
