I would say "more excited about the product" isn't good enough to turn down Twilio, but if was "super passionate about the product and think I could thrive there, and my gut really wants permission to go there" I would tell you to go with the other job.

On these situations I always take the path of least regret.
Ask yourself what route has the most potential to make you regret your decision? Then go the other way.
As a PM being comfortable amidst uncertainty is practically a job requirement.
I hear what you’re saying about avoiding fear based decisions. I view my framework the same way: make your decisions based on the possible upside, not the fear of failure.
For example. Let’s say the thing you might most regret is seeing the startup who’s product you really believe in take off without you. In that case, I’d tell the OP to go to the startup even if it has a high chance of failure.
