SM at Accenture is Equivalent to Director. I would push for MD. It’s going to take a long time to move up otherwise.
OP - It’s highly unlikely you will get MD offer from PwC unless you work in a hot area. D3 sounds reasonable to me. What are you salary expectations?
D3 in HCOL (In Cloud & Digital) goes up to $294K base + 28% bonus. Even in LCOL, they can accommodate $250K base in D3 cohort. You are better off coming in as Director and work on your partner business case in an year or two. There will be less pressure than coming in as MD and worry about your sales targets from day 1.
I think for a LT perspective you want to avoid MD route > better to push for D3 in S& and max the comp on that side
You want to get into D> P path and avoid MD especially if you are below 50
D3 will let you come in and have an easier path to partner but your comp will be less. You won’t have managed revenue targets hanging over your head though. MD comp will be more, you will have managed revenue targets higher than most 1-3yr partners and making partner case will be much harder. However, if you make partner from MD you will come in 3-4 years ahead of that new admit Director.
Thanks for your input.
OP, what’s your TC and split? I’m in conversation with ACN for a PD role with Strategy & consulting -> AI. I’m currently at 550k all in.
I see. Thanks OP!
