Considering boomeranging back into public tax. It’s been about 15 months and I’m really not feeling my current job. I miss working with more than 2 people and on more than one project. But then I think hey I left for a reason, right? Wondering whether people had a better experience after boomeranging due to the new perspective ?

Go explore what else is out there why would you go back to EY

likeuplifting

Don’t come back unless you wanna go PPED.

If you do, let me refer you.

I agree with EY2, don’t come back to PA unless you really want to make all the way to partner which is not guaranteed. I went Big4 to Industry to mid-size PA firm and immediately hated it. Want to go back to industry again.

Maybe try a non-B4 consulting firm? Might be a happy mix between the variety/different teams but also less stressful and better wlb.

smart

That’s what I did. Started at big 4 and didn’t like the 80 hour weeks and canceling plans when last minute work came up. Went to industry and left at 5 every day but was bored out of my mind. Went to a non big 4, top 10 firm, and it was challenging work but a better work life balance.

This isn’t real. It says you are at EY so the talk about boomeranging is BS

Why the heck would I make this up? 🤔 I never updated it when I left EY

Same boat. Are you in compliance?

Just here to vent that I feel severely disadvantaged for being a POC with partnership aspirations my firm. I've seen much younger white associates in my practice group get to go on client pitches, and as an nearly 7th year associate, I haven't been invited to go on a single one (even after voicing concerns about this to the partners in my group). I do great work, bill a lot of hours, and think I have a solid reputation but it's hard not to read the writing on the wall here. :(
