Question for lawyers out there—I’m a licensed attorney getting my llm in tax. A firm I’m going to intern at wants me to use my personal computer to access/work on client files etc. I’ve never worked anywhere they wanted me to use my personal computer for work. This makes me nervous, am I crazy for being worried about this?
Been a small team for a 11months and have done really well with client. Just had a turnover in MD and also a new manager at the same time. Old manager/Sr Manager moved to new project with promo..cont
My firm is virtual - all work done remotely in home office unless on client site. Haven’t traveled since mid October. It’s driving me nuts. What do you recommend doing?
Partner keeps you on the bench for a few weeks given a project is "starting immediately", but gives you an applause award - bribery?
How do you tell one of your managers they are micro managing excessively? I might be the new person on the project but I’m pretty confident in my abilities to update some docs. Thoughts?
Any pointers for someone who struggles to speak up during meetings? When I do speak, I’m confident, clear, and direct, but finding that I’m very self-conscious about speaking up or providing my perspective during workshops or brainstorms with the client, for fear of being wrong or being judged. I’ve received some feedback about it lately, so wondering if you 🐠 had any advice
Dear Client, I really appreciate you pay for my food when I'm on the road. Happy holiday! Truly Yours, consultant.
Moved client side after years at agencies and damn it’s as good as you hear it is (so far). So. Many. More. Women.
This is for ACN fish or ex acn fish. The project I'm on (more like a staff aug but we're there to support the client deliver their internal project) isn't doing well. I'm new to ACN - well, big consulting in general, so trying to understand what that means for us, and for me? (Also, for context - I'm one of the 4 SM's on this engagement (it's a large client and we have a 10+ team)). Continued in comments below...
Now client slide and got given a draft report from a popular consulting firm to review. First slide of actual content ive got over 15 text boxes with comments. I've become 'that' client.
Accenture strategy: How is ADP project experience viewed when decisions are made regarding career progression, bonus, etc.?
What are project manager roles at FAANG like? Is the work exciting? Is comp similar to other positions. Thank you in advance for your insights.
I have an opportunity to move from strategy to creative, if someone out here has any experience with this I would love to talk with you! Context - I’ve been an illustrator freelance on the side for about 10 years, our CD found my work, gave me a chance to work on illustrations for a campaign, and he (and the client) loved it. He wants to help train me and turn my role into a creative one! Super excited about it but also really intimidated by the idea 😬
First time on bench since I joined last year. Feels weird to have pretty much nothing to do but really needed the time off. Should I try to find a project right away or wait for one more week? ⛱
Will d usi hold internal technical interviews for (Solution Advisor - cyber infra) project allocation ? I'm a lateral hire and yet to be assigned with a project. Kindly enlighten me. Also how many days can one be on the bench usually?
Show of hands; who has been laid off because your agency lost a big client? Also, when you interviewed for your next job did you feel comfortable saying that? And do other agencies understand?
PLEASE ADVISE IF I SHOULD ACCEPT THE BELOW OFFER: COMPANY : KYNDRYL (IBM) ROLE: PROJECT MANAGER YOE: 14 YRS OFFER: 18 LACS + SHIFT ALLOWANCE DRAWBACK: NIGHT SHIFT AND NO TRANSPORTATION

Anyone that’s jumped from the D to MBB, I am curious how different the work is? I love my team, project city, but I’m not interested in the project. How much better is the work at MBB at analyst lvl?
I'm hitting my personal lowest. I'm taking vacation next week to just "be at home" and don't answer emails. I am on local project but pretty burned out so really all I want to do is anything but work.
What are red flags you try to identify about a role when interviewing and how? Feels like I'm missing flags ppl sometimes mention here but not sure how to assess indirectly.
On hold for a project that seems like it's never going to start. Torched my already not great utilization

Which non-SWE roles are worth it at FAANG in terms of pay? Will any pay better than MBB?
My agency will not fire a notoriously lazy and indecisive woman ECD through multiple rounds of layoffs because of the optics
Need help in choosing a company - I have offers from 3 companies for UX designer role 1) Deloitte India (Consultant) 2) Thermo fisher scientific 3) Boeing I am from India with 4.5 years of design experience. Which one would be a good choice? I have worked in 2 startups and don't have a lot of peers or friends who can help me out. I will appreciate any response.
To those of you in MBB, how do you treat yourself with the wealth you're making? Champagne with your Maccas? Constantly ordering Grab/ubereats/deliveroo is a privilege isnt it? (Assuming lockdown situation is in place)
What’s the typical raise (bonus salary and bonus) for 2nd year Consultants out of MBA at LEK? I know it varies based on performance, but would like a bit of color on the projected % increase. Thanks in advance!
Told a friend in Tax I was swamped with client work and a fire drill proposal and his response was "what is a proposal" 😑
I’m being promoted to Manager this November but recent got offer from a fintech. In money term the manager base pay is 5k greater than the new role but i’m negotiating to match the offer with my Manager salary. Should I wait until promoted or move asap? I dont want to continue working in external audit so trying to pivot to data analyst role/IA in the fintech before moving to full DA/DS position… but thinking the Manager promotion would help negotiate salary in the future.
I’m a 2017 associate in NYC biglaw. I logged approx. 2300 billable hours in 2019. Is that light, normal or heavy in the biglaw market for RE associates at my level? Thanks in advance for thoughts.
