I am starting with a new company in 1.5 weeks. I am due roughly a week after I start and they know. Issue is I don’t want to give notice to my current company in case the baby is early and I won’t be covered under new plan yet and they have right to let me go earlier than my new start date. Is it ok to quit the day I start new company? Or should I tell my boss earlier and hope he won’t ask me to leave sooner? I will be on PTO next week anyway.

Need some input. Car accident happened in NY. SC insurance car was rear ended by NY insurance! NY is a no fault state and SC is at fault state, I believe. Now, if the SC driver is in pain and wants to get medical treatment in NY will it be covered by her car insurance ? Or they have to get treatment on a lien. My mom got into accident and I am totally in a different field of law. She is visiting me and will be here for another month and want to at least go for a@check up again. Any help? TIa

Please let me know if I’m thinking about this right; in theory, the housing market next year is supposed to be better (more supply from builders and more confidence in buying). If it’s not a need at this second, why do people not wait for next year to buy? If rates are projected to go up, prices should come down.
House went on market through an auction (not foreclosure). List price was 550k, I ended up with an offer of 670k (next few offers were 3-5k lower). However, the listing agent has been really rude and aggressive and is basically forcing no contingencies. I can waive off inspection and loan contingency, but hesitant to waive appraisal contingency (anything over a difference of 20-30k). Anyone been in this situation before? How’d you deal with it?
