If what you really want is available right now and you can afford it then probably better to do it than potentially miss out later. I think just depends on how set you are on this specific condo.

I would wait. The market is too hot. I heard the 18 year circle which marks next crash around 2026. Everything indicates that would happen.

Now! You can rent it out in the meantime. If you change your mind in 4 years - sell it!

I say now bc it’s a good chance to test out the waters to see if this is the right place for retirement. If for some reason it’s not the best fit you can sell or rent it before you make the full time move.

I bought the place a month ago. Super happy.

I am starting with a new company in 1.5 weeks. I am due roughly a week after I start and they know. Issue is I don’t want to give notice to my current company in case the baby is early and I won’t be covered under new plan yet and they have right to let me go earlier than my new start date. Is it ok to quit the day I start new company? Or should I tell my boss earlier and hope he won’t ask me to leave sooner? I will be on PTO next week anyway.

House went on market through an auction (not foreclosure). List price was 550k, I ended up with an offer of 670k (next few offers were 3-5k lower). However, the listing agent has been really rude and aggressive and is basically forcing no contingencies. I can waive off inspection and loan contingency, but hesitant to waive appraisal contingency (anything over a difference of 20-30k). Anyone been in this situation before? How’d you deal with it?
