Getting reaaal tired of pressure from family to get married and have kids when I have enough to worry about at work. I feel like in 2022 we shouldn't have to deal with this. crap. I don't get a party for getting a promotion but when someone in the family has their 5th kid it's all anyone can talk about.
So EY announced yesterday in FAAS all hands that they aren’t following other firms with mid year raises, but did make a comment that last year they had historical raises and PBB and they expect that to be the case again this year. If you are at EY what percentage raise are you going to be expecting to stay with EY? Based on other B4 mid year raises I am thinking ~15% would be competitive if they aren’t going to do mid year raises. Thoughts?
I’m 12 weeks pregnant (and very excited for it!) and not super loving my job, but was planning to stick it out for the maternity leave. An old boss reached out to me with a new opportunity offering a promotion with more ownership, remote flexibility, and a steady client. At what stage of the interview process do I mention that I am expecting?
Everyone at EY complaining about market adjustments… I don’t know about you but I got a 24% raise last summer (to be fair didn’t go into effect until October)… I don’t know how much more they could/should adjust in a given year. Basically, wondering what the chances are that other firms are playing catch up to us??
I’ve been practicing for 6 years in-house at a media company (was a startup when I joined and is now more established), straight out of law school. Due to the small nature of our team (3 legal members), I have been involved in all areas of our business and even advise c-suite frequently about legal risks. I received a promotion, with another title bump on the horizon this year. I have an opportunity to go to a start-up media company as the sole attorney. Anyone else have experience doing this?
Do teams get promoted together? Is it weird if they don’t? I was offered a job (w/promotion) I really wasn’t interested in but I told my current agency and they matched the offer. Now I’m making $40k more than my partner & I’m a sr. level (they’re not). I’ve also been at this agency half as long as my partner. I don’t feel bad for getting paid but feels weird that the agency isn’t extending any kinda offer to my partner—I told my partner about the promo but our CDs haven’t said anything.
What's your office promotion day venue?
Hi can anyone tell me how is the promotion cycle and performance review in GS ? Like how many years it can take for 3 year experience Analyst joining laterally to be promoted to Associate in Compliance Division.
My male creative partner (copy writer) might get the boot soon. He’s lazy, slow and does not get the work done. Even when he does, it’s not very good work. We started at the same time and I recently found out he makes more $$ than me! I’m hoping to ask for a raise and want to ask for more than what he makes because I work significantly harder and produce better work. Curious what your guys’ thoughts are on how much is too much when asking for a raise? I’ll be at my company a year this summer.
I’m wanting to quit my job to have a baby and raise my child for a few years. Anyone else have experience with this and was it difficult finding an employer upon returning to the workforce? Did you have to take step down in role/pay, was it difficult to ramp back up, etc.?
I’m a WMCA that has been with Merrill 2 1/2 years and my current team 2 years and have never had a raise despite positive annual reviews. Fully paid by FA’s. Is this normal?
Hey 🐠 what’s the Typical % increase of base salary for promotion from manager to Senior manager at big 4?
How's the promotion cycle in Deloitte USI? I have always felt it's biased. I joined DUSI in Feb 2019 as Analyst with 2.5YOE. I got promoted to consultant in 2021 (they skipped my case in 2020 as I didn't have enough "Deloitte experience". Now I have a total of 5.5YOE. I'm asking my coach to propose my case in talent review for 2023 (actual milestone year is 2024). But my coach is saying leave it to God🤣. This seems very unfair. Also, the ones who joined in 2021 with 3YOE have their milestone😁
What segment do you work in? Seems like the typical sales promotion/career path is going from SMB > Mid Market > Enterprise. Is it the same for sales engineers? Are there any benefits to staying downmarket?
Hello, Could any one share reviews and work culture about DXC technology Hyderabad? What is level 4 at DXC? I have seen mixed reviews on glassdoor.
Looking for advice...I’m a Tech Recruiter with over 10 years of agency experience. I’m hearing some unsettling rumors at my current company and feel like I should start entertaining other companies. Work/life balance - flexible schedule, unlimited time off/ high pto and a great culture are most important. Any suggestions on companies I should look at? If I leave, I want to leave the agency world as well. Thank you!
I have 7+ YOE and I cleared my TCS technical round 10 days ago and uploaded all requested documents in TCS portal. I haven't heard back from them on the HR round. Any idea how much time they take to process the application and proceed with th HR round?
Partner and I were planning a wedding for late November. Is this risky considering that there may still be quarantine to an extent at that time? Wondering if we should put it off until spring.

Left Deloitte early last year and was asked to payback 50% of my sign-on bonus which I did. How do I claim the tax refund for the 50% that I repaid since taxes were already deducted on the full bonus when I got the original payout? Has anyone worked through this with Deloitte?
