Joined EY TAS mid-Feb as staff 2 (had 1.5 yoe before in audit). With the October promotion now pushed earlier to August, am I still eligible to be considered for that promotion batch? I understand that I'll finish cycle 3 FY22 evaluation in May and maybe half of cycle 1 FY23 in July... Just not sure how the timing works. Also any advice on how to bring this up to the partners would be much appreciated! EY

Will really depend on your budget but you will never go wrong with a Cartier watch (e.g., a Santos). If you want to stick with an OP, have you considered buying on the after market? Also female, small wrist.
Re after market: understand your concerns. There’s actually plenty of reputable after market dealers. See if you find anything on chrono24 where dealers are rated. A lot more choice on there. If you want to buy at a Rolex AD: as others have said on here, you’ll have a good chance of getting a classic Rolex Datejust or OP if you wait for a few weeks / months (unless you go for the crazy hyped models like the Tiffany dial). Smaller wrist models are generally easier to come by.
If an OP is what you want, certain ADs are accepting orders for them (though up to 36). I recently placed an order for a black OP36. Smaller ADs are easier to work with than large chains
Rolex ladyjust is reasonably priced and there are many variations, alternatively you can’t go wrong with a cartier tank

Have you tried asking ADs for the 31 or 34mm OP? I know they are still very scarce, but I lucked into finding an AD with the Pink and Turquoise available in 31, and the bright blue in 34. We had no purchase history and all were available for sale. My wife opted for the Turquoise 31 and loves it.
Where are you based? I’m in a fairly small city and my AD has basically no inventory but I’d be willing to travel a bit.
I also got myself a watch as a promotion gift! Depending on how long you’re willing to wait - my 31mm datejust took 4 months from order to arrival from an AD.
Second EY1. Be patient. Smaller sizes are more attainable…

This Nomos Orion is a good visual alternative to an OP. Manual wind, more affordable, more attainable, very thin and comfortable to wear. Also more of a dress watch, though, so if you want something with good water resistance, this isn't it. I have a small wrist and like the 35mm size. There's also 33mm, or 38.
Budget is flexible but up to 10k for the right watch. I think the Cartier tank is kinda ugly though.
Dealers choice, Jackie O didn’t mind it
Also check out the Black Bay 32. Has more of a field vibe, but hits a lot of the same notes as the OP.
