Have any big 4 announced compensation yet?
Looking to move on from current role however bonus/pay review period in 6 months (base jump likely to be around 10%). Is it better to wait to get the bump then negotiate off that for next role or start looking for roles now and accept if can find a jump of 15-20%? (understand that it might be possible to negotiate sign on to compensate for missed bonus). Any generic rule of thumb / insights that have helped ppl? Leaning towards staying until bonus/pay review period at present. Thanks.
I recently joined a boutique firm after leaving a Big 4, around a month now, but having second thoughts. Is it bad to Look elsewhere after only a month? I have worked in the HR space for the past 9 years, however most of my experience has been in Talent Acquisition. I do want to move into a People Operations/Generalist role. I’m planning to go for a HR certificate but unsure if I should go for a PHR or SHRM. Please advise!
Career advice: I became an HR mgr/BP relatively early on in my career so have 7 years BP exp. and 9 overall. I work in pharma as a Sr. BP/manager now. I’d like to make a move into an AD or higher role but seem to only get consideration for lateral moves. Not sure if it’s because I don’t have enough experience or if I’ve never had direct reports? Hey, I am currently in the process to decide between a BCG and Bain offer for a project leader role in one of their CEMA/Europe offices. I am joining from another boutique strategy consulting firm and would be interested to hear if the travel policies and expense policies differ a lot between Bain and BCG in Europe. I would assume for both companies the general rule is, if it is beneficial for the project / client there is no issue e.g. if you want to travel on a Sunday evening instead of Monday @

I wrote a rec letter for one of my legal assistants for law school right before COVID got bad and we all started working remote. Ever since then, this assistant has seemingly been slacking. There’s only so much I can actually see/review without seriously micromanaging her. I’ve spoken to her about her slacking at least twice and both times she just brushed it off. I want to withdraw my rec letter, but I feel like it’s too late. She is leaving at the end of the summer. Should I just let it be?

How are folks thinking about permanent life insurance? 45, making let’s say for example (not my exact numbers): $1M per year, not yet vested in pension. Was thinking need to replace the post tax take home, about $550k NPV’ed at 5% to age 55, so that’s like $3.2M. Maybe pension is worth $2.5M so I think that means I should have $5.7 total you want death to have no financial impact. Also was going to do $1M of that in perm w/ LTC rider. Sound right?

I am currently a fund accountant and am thinking about jumping ship to a new firm. I’m at a small fund and although the culture and WLB are great, I can see that there is no opening for assistant controller coming any time soon. Is it a bad if I consider looking elsewhere when I’ve only been there for a year? I hear it’s a strong market for candidates so I don’t want to miss out on a potential better opportunity for my career. Greatly appreciate any input.
