The BBCD is a cool piece, but I have three hesitations:
1) It’s super sporty and might look out of place in the business environment (not that this really matters, but still)
2) Look at reviews and pictures of used Black Bay Darks; the black coating will eventually chip or wear off, and it doesn’t look good, but if you’re careful this shouldn’t be an issue for a few years (note: be careful with the bracelet on your metal laptop...it’s a scratch factory!)
3) Resale will be pretty low, since the BB chrono was already a bit of an oddball.

For ~$6k I’d be looking at getting an OP39 black or white, or even better, an Explorer 1. If you’re wanting a badass black chrono, you should be able to find a Dark Side of the Moon Omega Speedmaster for ~$6k. There are several variations as well:

I agree - while I believe Tudor and this watch to be very sharp, I would recommend the Omega DSOTM series.

Why do ADs even entertain the possibility of you getting a call for a SS sports watch (for ex: submariner/GMT BLNR) without any purchase history? Stopped into Wempe for the hell of it and the saleswoman talked it up as if it’s even a possibility and whether I would prefer the “green color” lol.
