Week 11-12, I got Covid (coming out of quarantine now). I’m Moderna vaxed too. Every healthcare professional was like, I’m glad you’re vaccinated. All seems to be Ok. Have my 13 week Nucal next Friday.
For those who become partner, is there anything stopping them from retiring after say, 5 years? Other than lost earnings potential, lost pension, etc. Like are there any sorts of clawbacks, etc?
For those of you who follow the FIRE (retire early) movement, once you have enough, you don’t need any more, and therefore may not be as incentivized long term by the dangling carrot.
But people like me still value career growth and want to accomplish as much as I can, during my working years.
PCAOB has a noble mission but I’m curious - how much are its inspections contributing to mental health problems and avoidable voluntary attrition in CPA firms? Serious question. Not trying to troll them.
Has anyone here dealt with adult ADHD? I have a few coping mechanisms that allow me to be high functioning but def deal with insecurities seeing my peerset so on the ball. Curious if any of us have dealt with mental health issues.
Any HR due diligence professionals - my firm is looking for a Senior Manager. Will have significant say in how the whole shop is run and no utilization minimums. Small team with a steady pipeline but looking to grow at the manager level and up. Reach out if interested. FYI: I can’t get a bonus for this because it directly benefits me. We just want good people.

Anyone know which of the area defense contractors has the best benefits (I.e. paternity leave)? I’ve seen some that offer none and some that have provided 2 weeks. Seems that while perhaps the industry won’t match big tech, there has to be some out there that offer something more generous.
As my title states, I’m insurance agent I’ve been doing this job going on six months a lot of cold calling although that’ll end. Once I build up my book however I really don’t enjoy it. There’s a lot of money to be had, which is a big factor for me but I really can’t see myself doing it and I don’t have buy in this industry The coworkers and managers are phenomenal. However, I feel like I should go to school which I currently am but definitely can’t do a full-time at both.. thoughts, thank you
Does anyone here work in healthcare reimbursement? More specifically related to regulatory compliance with governmental agencies (Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, Tricare etc…). I am currently at a large non profit hospital system and this career path has opened up for me. I have learned a lot but feel as though I need more resources, training and a collaborative team environment. I was hoping to get some insights from anyone that works in the field. Thank you!
I’d like input!
I am currently a charge nurse and am in a “Pathway to Leadership Program” that will come with promotions into leadership/administration. I am concerned that going through the leadership ladder will lead to a lot of politics.
I am thinking of getting a masters of healthcare informatics, and would love input from people in both industries and any advice you have!
Would you continue into the nursing leadership ladder or go into health informatics (which also has leadership!)?
I am currently a Health Admin Fellow at a leading healthcare system. I am in a phase during my fellowship where I will have to start searching for a role within the system in the next 3 months.
I was wondering what kind of role would be best step forward for an admin fellow.
I was offered a project coordinator role but feel I should not accept the same without looking at other options. I aim to seek out a project manager role and was wondering if this would be the wrong step forward.

Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.
We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.
I’ve worked as a Histocompatibility technologist at a large company for 10 years. I am lead tech now and I know that I am underpaid and have been informed that no matter what extra degrees or certifications I obtain would end in a raise. I am an ASCP certified med tech and ACHI certified Histocompatibility specialist with a bachelors in clinical laboratory science. I’m tired of being undervalued. What’s out there for people with clinical lab background? Im willing to go back to school. Thanks!

My heart really goes out for the women in Pakistan, the amount of harassment they face on daily basis. I wonder why that is, is the root cause the extreme level of gender segregation.

Can someone give me some advice on how to get into project management at tech company auditing. As an auditor my strengths are more management and organization inclined than technical accounting tbh I’m more of the person who would be a managing partner and not a technical partner so I feel like I have the qualities just want to know what certs etc to take.

Hello fishes in PwC , I went through final round interview with the financial service advisory line manager, and I just wonder if this line that does IT transformation project for financial institutions and also emerging tech projects a part of the management consulting line? Does anyone else deal with insomnia or sleep disorders in Consulting? I have been in consulting for two years now and I still struggle with waking up early every day. I have always struggled with insomnia and I’ve been treated for it in so many ways and it came down to I have delayed sleep phase syndrome meaning I get tired later and therefore should wake up later, but obviously I can’t. Does anyone have tips around this? How do you not sleep through your alarms? How do you not feel tired?

I'm considering making a move from consulting to the President of the United States. No previous executive experience. Would it make more sense to be the Governor of New York or the Prime Minister of Canada to phase in and work my way up?
Lol you make it sound easy. Good luck
The entry into a boutique is hundreds of times easier than into shops like KKR, TPG or Blackstone
@D2 way easier to get into boutiques like Canada, than shops like New York state
Lol not gonna lie, at first I was about to post exactly what D2 said. Word for word, it’s almost scary
Would make sense to take vitamins
To clarify, I have no professional experience in private equity as in a company on my resume, but I've had healthcare finance companies as clients at Deloitte. I also have a large network of friends in NYC that work in PE/HF that I talk to regularly about the market. And I did do a summer internship in investment banking. Didn't realize it is as difficult to get into that space as I anticipated
OP - don’t let these debbie downers talk you out of it. Finding a job in a selective industry or otherwise, is like any case you’d have worked on.
Research the industry, speak to the junior-most team members first, articulate your story and focus on the value-add you’ll bring in. This coincidentally also happens to be one of the busiest hiring periods in PE, so you must just pull it off sooner than expected and surprise yourself. Good luck!
You and me would be good friends D1
