Anyone have any advice for setting goals for a performance review? I've looked at some online resources but interested to see what others in the industry do. My firm is relatively small and new, so my boss' guidance was limited.

While I am on track for promotion at my firm, I am not in the “top bucket” of all performers. Will this make it impossible to get offers in PE? Or can I still target some firms (ex MM-LMM)?

How long did it take you to get an off-cycle PE offer? How many first round interviews? Average number of total rounds for the offers?

2.5 yrs into career, LTM with T2 M&A practice with 10-15 DDs under my belt.

To break into PE:
1) Continue recruiting for A1 roles from DD heavy T2 shop
2) Take lateral offer from BCG PIPE (would be 3rd consulting role in 2.5 yrs) to get more exposure
