Chicago 🐠: Are you WFH tomorrow? Stay warm! ⛄️❄️😳
Have an offer from Google S&O L3 for 175k TC to relocate to the Bay Area or NYC. Currently in a fully remote role at Deloitte. Is it worth relocating to Bay Area or NYC to work at Google? Would be taking a slight pay cut. Anyone make a similar move and was it worth it to get out of consulting and break into the tech industry? Current TC: 175-180k in MCOL New TC: 175k in HCOL

I left Baker Tilly in Nov. 2021 and even though it was still fully remote my team was strongly pushing for in-person client visits for full busy season. Definitely would recommend asking about each team's goal for client work, etc. as I am sure it varies by team and changes with ongoing pandemic conditions
I liked DHG as a firm while I was there, though I didn’t make it to SM level.
DM me if you are interested in a referral to KPMG!
PwC has a fully remote option in our tax practice. Happy to refer
We have opening at our firm with the possibility to do remote
What industry?
Feel free to reach out! I can answer any questions. I don’t work in that industry but can ask around
Baker Tilly is a good company. I feel like the most honest answer though is that its going to depend significantly on your team and your clients. Another post on this thread said they just left BT and were being pushed to being on-site for busy season. My experience is different - almost none of my clients want to see us. I just bought new sweatpants for the upcoming busy season :) If anything, I'm planning on going to the office once or twice a week because my team misses seeing each other. It won't be mandatory to come in. For what its worth, I think BT as a firm has dealt with the pandemic as well as anyone could.
