Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

Hello RSM coworkers! I am thrilled to be moving to RSM into a Scheduler roll. I just found out yesterday and want to be as prepared as possible in the next steps.
So here are my questions.
How long does the background study take? I'm guessing admin staff have a study that is faster and less complicated than someone in Tax ect.
When training at home what did you need that wasn't supplied by RSM? My home office is well stocked but I want to be as prepared as possible.
Thanks in advance!

If you want to switch to FP&A this is the time to do it. It'll only get harder from hereon out, bc you'll not likely move past senior analyst rank if you try to make the switch later since your audit / accounting experience is not valued enough (unjustified that may be). Remote onboarding isn't great but it is what it is.
Get a good feel for who your boss will be because with it being your first finance job, you really want a good mentor. Also get a feel for if the company is stagnant or growing, and what the expectations will be for you in the first 100ish days (gives you an idea of what you’ll be doing most of the time. KPIs? Ppt decks for BOD? Supporting ops? Debt reporting? Internal auditing? Etc). I left for an fp&a manager job in Feb and it has been incredible. An improvement in QOL and more interest in what you are working on is worth a lot of money in itself.
Also a top concern is that it might be stupid to jump now - I assume this offer is lower than it would be in a normal market and concerned about starting remotely. But that’s more of a personal issue, but if anyone has started a new job remotely and wants to weigh in I’d appreciate it
I say take the jump- if it’s what you want to do and you’re getting paid more that sounds like a win win!
Uhhh get away from audit if you don’t want to be partner and have opportunities. Otherwise hang tight and wait for opportunities.
I’m sorry what’s confusing about this?
I’d do it in a heartbeat. I’m currently in line for a revenue accountant position and wish I had a chance for a financial analyst position.
